So, I just tried this a few times, and it happens every single time, it seems to be much like the Dwarven Beard Bug, and its driving me crazy. Basically, when you first start up a character preset, their stubble is very light, its visible, but looks much like stubble.

However, if you move the slider, then move it back to what it was before, you'll notice that all of the stubble, including the one you had on your preset are now much more, well, hairy, to the point where its not really stubble anymore, but looks more like they are growing pubic hair on their face, something most men tend to get past after puberty.

I'm wondering why this is, most of the NPCs in game have some very good looking 5 o clock shadow going on, and from the presets we have been given, it seemed like we would be able to have a similar look, however, every single time you try to move that silly slider, it suddenly turns into this mess that just all around does not look good on your character.

If you want a good example of this, go to Male - Human - Mage - Default Preset, then when you get into the character creator, spin him around so you can look at his sideburns, originally, they are faint, then move the slider to the right, and then back again to his sideburns, you'll notice that they have suddenly become much bushier.

Then make a quick game and look at you friend once you are out of the starter part of the Mage Intro, look at his stubble, it is very faint, but it still looks very nice, while you will be stuck with this giant bushy mess on your chin, which just ends up looking redicioulous.

I just noticed this yesterday. It's not a huge issue but you think someone at BW would have noticed.



Best thing to do is if you want stubble don't move the slider, kinda limits your options though.

WHAT!? strong stubble is COOL! just look at my char.
