I don't see anything spoilerish in this thread. The fact that she's attractive female makes it obvious she's a romance option, and you can see that she's a bard by opening her character screen.

I found her to be quite easy to romance. In fact, within the span of a few hours I bedded her, then Zevran, then completed my tour de force with Morrigan. I just wanted the achievements and had no vested interest in any of this silly love business, but did find it amusing I went from sex with what is basically a nun, to sex with another man, and finally to sex with a spiteful, world-hating harpy.

While Zevran is a man-**** and will screw anyone even with a fairly low approval score (I was maybe 60 or so?) and only a few funny double entendres thrown in during conversation, Leliana needs to be cultivated slowly and sweetly. Butter her up with lots of gifts with the Chantry/Andraste themes, and always choose the most moral, supportive, and sickeningly sweet dialogue options you can. Don't call her crazy, don't come on too strong, don't yell at her about her past, etc. After a while she will start saying how she trusts you, thinks about you, etc. Once that happens you are close to the prize.

Also, be sure to talk to her after every major story event (this goes for all companions, as they reveal more information, occasionally) and after every significant approval change. Like others have said, it may be possible to skip important portions of the courtship, but talking to her often will avoid that.

Ahh, but with Zevran, you can win his crotch, but you can't win his heart unless you work incredibly hard and wait for a long time.



Anyway, you have to travel past the Brecilian Forest to get her personal quest, then you can romance her.

Soon after Lothering, I had her approval around 60 thanks to early dialog and a few gifts, and we went to the Pearl, where I offered a character there to have sex with me. Leliana immediately demanded to join in without being asked, and the threesome both raised her approval, and started the romance dialog options...



That made her the stereotypical "horny cloistered catholic" as far as Im concerned.

Damn, I missed my chance. I got to the pearl after I had already 'completed' the romance with Leliana, and all I got for getting a hooker was a -1 approval from Leliana. I guess she only joins in if you aren't already doing her.

This was not with a hooker, but rather with the duelist pirate lady you meet there.

Ive also read that encounter can become a foursome if you have Zevran with you as well and he's in the right dispositions, though I did not confirm that.

Um... I don't know if that's ok to ask here but still. In the end of the game (after "talking" with all "lords and ladies") I didn't have finale bed scene. I mean in ALL Bioware games there was one big bed scene before finale battle. And nothing here... just very sick proposition from another person. Is that ok? Does everyone who choose Leliana had this? I mean I break up all other romantic lines and looking forward with this one (especially after talking with healer-mage "mother").

Hum. How do you know you've "made it" with her? Is that when you get a chance to kiss her? If so, if you chose a different dialog option, do you break the romance?

Yeah, I had the same problem. Once I finished her quest, she started talking to me more. I gave her a slight hint of my interest in her, saying she had to reward me for a certain something. *wink wink*



Now I can't go any further then her telling stories, but I guess the rest of the dialogue will open up eventually.

How do I know I "made it"? Well, we slept together, and we became "we" (she told that and she also told that she cares deeply for me and loves me :-) ). Besides, that mage "mother" told me a lot of things about me and Leliana but nothing of that happened (so far).

I've talked to her about her stories.  She taught me the bard skill.  The party got ambushed and I found out about marjalene.  I gave her a flower.  The party killed marjelene.  She said she needed to think about things.  Then when I thought I was going to get the cut scene of knockin the boots instead she tells me after this adventure is over she want's to travel the world together.  Then she started singing in the camp.  Morrigan was in the shadows shaking her head, jealously.

It seems Leilanna really wants a commitment first instead of just a roll in the hay.


*The really bizarre thing is how did Alistairs sock get in wynne's bedroll.  Is there something going on behind the scenes?

Just for more information out there. Some people seem to think she is easy and others think she is hard. I think this is because of one thing that hasn't been mentioned in this thread. In the conversations you have to tell her that she is beautiful/pretty, whenever the option is available. if you don't do this. no romance, just friends. if you do, Romance Hope this helps.

Unlocked the romance.  I went through just about all the dialogue options and I must say this was complicated.  If only one could go back throughout life with a series of saves.  I thought the whole romance was very classy and very powerful.

One thing I recommend. if you can do this.  Set up the romance and wait until a particular camp autosave.  There will be blood on everyone's faces and armor.  Then go through the entire thing and the characters will have blood on their faces and some other bodies about..  I thought it was cool in kind of a morbid way.

I hate to do this but I will.  Just remember, if you screw up a relationship in real life you can't use a save to go back.

Hey Van Tardo, there are NO SPOILERS IN MY POST. None. Go read it. The only thing that comes even close to a spoiler is in a reply, which reveals the shocking fact that Leliana is a bard.



Also, only ****** and grandpas give a sh*t about spoilers.

Playing as a woman, I gave Leliana one gift right after she joined me and got +10 approval. On the missing manual site it says the issue with her romance can be caused by giving her gifts too early. Do you all think I should reload an earlier save and not give her any gifts until after her personal story? Or is one gift definitely no big deal?
