I just managed to promise Golgrim (is that his name? I mean the Andraste-is-this-dragon-here cultist) I would pour the dragons blood on Andraste's ashes, then actually not doing it, and avoid confrontation on the way back by sneaking past him. Amazed that actually worked, I got the feeling though that I might be missing something. What are the rewards for conquering the Cultists? Or does anyone know if this kinda lame way to deal with the situation actually has some consequences later on?

Yes I tried fighting the cultists, as well as the guardian, but it was late, I got well smitten, and the sneaking approach was kind of a silly last attempt to get the frig off that mountain before turning in.

You get a horn which allows you to summon the High Dragon down from his perch, which lets you kill him and get a tremendously huge amount of good loot.



Siding with him gives you the Reaver Specialization.
