Id like to join but the thing is i dont have any mic's but i do have xfire? would that work out? i could be the 6th member! unless you dont need anyone else im bored of the sp game and im up for a challenge

Hey, I signed up because I had found and started playing BGII about a month ago and was interested in a multiplayer game. I've only made it to chapter 2 and it looks like you guys are still planning everything out.

I'm on eastern standard time and if you guys are still looking for party members I would be interested and consider myself fairly flexible schedule wise as well as in-game I'd have little to no preference as to my role.


Edit: Also, excuse my naivety but is there someway to add a custom avatar picture?
And, also, relating to the game maybe if there's a lot of people we could split up the parties into smaller groups? I'm not really experienced with this game at all but I'm assuming it would be possible for a party of three or four to make it through the game?

It is technically possible to play without a mic, but I don't see how xfire helps much more than the ingame chat... Given the relative slowness of actions in baldurs gate 2, it might be fine to play without a mic...



@ KennV, a lot of people have posted their interest, a few more post then not taken their interest further (im and/or aranging time for meeting) we are currently 4 people looking to play together, that can probably be expanded. You could try to get together another playthrough with the people from this thread, or you could try to join up with us.



When can you guys not play? During the night? Any time during the day? We are currently looking at playing in the window somewhere between 21 gmt and 01 gmt most of the time.

A change in plans - I will be home tomorrow before 4pm my time. So no worries on waiting.

There is a 6 person max on the party - generally it's better to stick together.

I'd be willing and dedicated to see this through all the way if it ends up properly organized, I think 21gmt-01gmt would be 23-03 eastern standard right? If that's the case then that would be perfect for me for at least the next two or three weeks, as of right now I get off of work around 11pm.



The only problem is I guess I'd have to go out and get a mic or would an XBox360 mic suffice? Also, I don't have MSN messenger but I'll download that right now if you guys want to give me, uh, screen names or whatever it uses.

Sorry i couldnt make it this morning, got called into work. The only time my shifts match up with the new time frame is saturday the 8th, im one day ahead of american players though.

We have 4 right now, and if u two guys join, well have a full party. Day and Rae are not active anymore, can only take it they arent interested.

Regarding mics, its not required to have a mic, as we will probably play without them. But if u cant stand typing in game through bg2s ****ty interface then your welcome to use them. Pretty sure gameranger has a mic option, if not we could use vent if anyone has it.

KennV, might not work without some sort of adapter. Prolly better going out and picking up a cheap mic for the price that adapter would cost.

Just a heads up on the classes we are playing, so u can make ur decision and pre roll ur character ready for multiplayer;

Sorceror

Oh yeah and it would be cool if we stay in character ingame http://www.gamegrene.com/node/385 check out this for what this could mean for you with low wis/int scores. Though if you dumped your cha i don't think you have to act really horrible...

I got ur message just now oyzar, i did miss this mornings start, i did mention i was free this morning, but didnt get on/get up (slept in due to late work night) since there was no mention that everyone was going to be on at that time.

Zombie, what is wrong in RP? Do you feel it is ridiculous or something? Or is it so you don't have time for it? This is RP game after all.. even though this could be played like Diablo. We have a great team anyway so far, and I hope we can discuss stuff with you like IndelibleJester suggested.

Since it seems really hard to do this on ad-hoc basis with times to play decided shortly in advance i think we should list when we can play given from the times available.



gmt 11 is 6 for jester and kennv, 21 for zombie, 23 for tim, 12 for me and 12 for moilami

gmt 21 is 16 for jester and kennv; 7 for scott; 9 for tim; 22 for me and 23 for moilami



What times of those can everyone every day from now on until next sunday for example? I am pretty sure i can most of those times as long as we arrange beforehand when we are going to play. Just say which you personally can or can't and we'll figure out a schedule from that...
