 So there's been 15 crew members (this is supposing you didn't kill them) over the past two games and if this game is going to wrap up the story arc what do you want to see happen with them. For example this is what i want...

Garrus - Stay, Could be a squad mate as he has been the last two games i mean if your Shepherd and Garrus aren't good friends by now then who is! Although maybe he could have a future option of leaving your squad to create a second crew (maybe they could take over the SR2 while shepherd gets the SR3). Also can we fix his armor we must have been traveling for ages and he never fixed it or at least include a dialogue explaining how he likes it damaged to remind him what happened.

Ashley - Come Back! Bring her back as a crew member, simple as. There's the issue of the romance conflict but it's been over two years in real life you could probably stand each other and probably wouldn't be suprised if the other person had sex with someone else, although maybe some sort of talk and maybe the just friends thing? Although another chance to choose between Love intrests like in mass effect 1 would be sweet. Also maybe another candidate to lead another crew.

Kaiden -
Same as Ashley

Liara -
Don't come back. Can't really join now that she's the shadow broker although maybe a few missions from her, maybe offers of help, maybe a email here and there wouldn't hurt.

Tali -
Should have the option to leave to join the admiralty making it easier to gain the Quarian's assitance. The other option being her staying on the ship she might as well now she is already there.

Wrex -
Don't come back, Should stay with the Krogan's makes no sense for him to join the crew again as he's trying so hard to bring them back together but a clip of him leading the Krogan against the reapers would be sweet!

Grunt -
Stay no reason to do anything else Shepherd is his battle master.

Jack -
Stay, she could leave to take over some occult but lame reason might as well stay maybe we can change her to not so mental.

Jacob -
Stay, unless his desperate to go back to cerberus although cerberus and Shepherds goals are still the same so might as well stay/

Kasumi -
Stay. Be nice to develop her story further then just a DLC

Legion -
Stay, only reason to leave is to return to the Geth or visit the Quarians to give them advice but this could be a mission and doesn't need to be permenent.

Miranda -
Stay, Although possibilty of leading a second crew. There's always the option of a quest involving her dad so might as well keep her.

Mordin -
Stay, he could come in handy in gaining the help of the Salarian's plus he's essential for the upgrade system (which should stay in the game) could also come in handy gaining the help of the Krogan's he might have the cure for the genophage.

Samara -
Stay, Unless there's somthing else better she needs to do.

Thane -
Stay, unless he's dead in that case can we have his son. IGN voted him coolest game character so what reason is there to kill him maybe find a cure as he's about to die as a mission.

Zaeed -
Stay unless he is desperate for money in which case him taking over control of one of the merc groups could mean they could provide help.

These are obviously assuming they all survived and all the DLC ones where got.

Love interest -
Be nice if the love interest thing developed as well. If your Shepherd has a love interest and there still with them well they've already sealed the deal how about some date clips or like the dinner with Kelly. How about some sort of wedding at the end (maybe a bit cheesy) as long as Shepherd's still alive.

Love interests for others -
If they've spent so long together it's likely some of the others may have gained a liking for each other for example Kasumi and Jacob or how about Joker and Kelly (even Joker needs love)

One last note -
Keep the loot system, experience system, morality system, the Hammerhead, research and upgrade systems from Mass Effect 2! They're good, they work and thank you!!

Keep the ME2 squad, have the ME1 squad play large plot roles and be heavily featured in the story. If you destroyed the collector base most of people you talk to post game say their staying. Miranda and Jacob in particular.

I like the ME1 crew better. Though Thane, Grunt(I still prefer Wrex for a Krogan Squad mate) and Legion are ok in my book.

I'd like to see some old crew members come back, but if Liara doesn't return then its extremely unlikely Kaidan/Ashley will either, otherwise that'll just p*** off the Liara fans. Also i believe i've read somewhere on these forums (Can't remember where and too lazy to search since theres 100 threads on this topic) that its unlikely ALL of your ME2 crew will return in ME3...then again that doesn't really count as confirmation. But i kinda agree, i get the feeling some will depart.

I like reecesh's ideas, Mordin will probably dead soon though. Maybe a new crew member or two, but not an entirely new squad.

Thane can die, Samara go back to Asari space. Zaeed & Kasumi get paid their due and left planetside, and Jack can f*** off to whatever craphole will take her in. The rest can stay if they like.

Really from my stand point, the only people who seem to be commited to staying with Shep post game are Miranda, Jacob, and Grunt. Garrus and Legion to as well, but they tend to be a wild card.

Tali is still fiercely connected to the Flotilla and would most likely return their, just like she did before, Zaeed and Kasumi were both in it for the paychecks, Mordin wants to retire, Thane might be dead, and Samara specifically said she was going back to her Justicaar work.

I'm not trying to be the downer, but the type of balance I'd like to see is the return of Liara and Virmire survivor as squadmates. Some new squaddies, and Legion 2.0. Your ME2 romance can play a Joker-style role on the ship and everyone else can be involved in a plenty length mission (ala Liara/Lair of the Shadow Broker-style.)

That's a decent balance IMO.

Fair enough, i generally romance Ash for my playthroughs (Though i have tried most LI options just to see what there like). If Ash dosn't return to the sqaud it wouldn't bother me much, just aslong as theres some dialog with her to continue the romance...and possibly some side mission too. It be nice to fight along side her again atleast once.

 what my ideal scenario would be (assuming you chose the paragon ending in ME2 and everyone lived):

Shepard gathers the crew and says he's not with Cerberus anymore. People who were hired by Cerberus (Zaeed and Kasumi) leave. Jacob stays with you, Miranda stays if you romanced her (or gained her loyalty), Garrus stays. Tali stays, Samara will stay if you ask, Grunt will follow you, Legion will remain, Thane dies, Mordin will leave to pursue other interest, Jack will only stay if you romanced her.

Bioware won't kill of Thane from his illness just like Mordin won't die from old age at least until the epilogue. After ME2 they're going to be very careful to not do stuff like that. Also Kasumi has that gray box (if you let her keep it) and Zaeed owes you for Vido (if you didn't let him get away).

I want all of the crew from ME2 to return. It would honestly make zero sense from a story telling standpoint to have people randomly leave if they are still alive. It makes no sense to have a character essentially go, "Yeah, we saw all the crazy Reaper/Collector stuff go down. Yes, we fought with you and saved everyone...but we're gonna go do other stuff now and leave you hanging at the most critical point in the series. Good luck".



I don't even care about the ME1 crew. Kaiden and Ashley are both extremely boring, and Wrex is going to be in as the Krogan leader and I fully expect him to stand by Shepard and send aid when the time comes.

The more of the old squad I get to keep on my team, the better. However, I will accept cameos if and only if they are worthy of the character. Wrex and LotSB Liara were great, but none of that Horizon BS. I won't be too upset if I don't see much of the DLC characters again, even though Kasumi's one of my favorite squadmates.



But if anyone absolutely must return for me, it's Garrus. He's a bro. And Kaishley Willenko needs to come back for the sake of fixing the monstrosity that is Horizon. Additionally, I sort of want Jacob to return to see if Bioware can actually give him a little character this time around. He feels half-assed as is, and they need to fix that.



I predict we'll be getting a maximum of six new characters, one to cover every class, and an absolute minimum of two to at least make the game playable. I'm thinking we'll get a pair of new human LIs, since that seems to be the trend, but throwing a batarian and a female turian would make me very happy. Bioware works some magic with their cast, and I look forward to the new kids.



Just... don't sacrifice the old ones. Please. Otherwise ME2 will have been an empty chapter.

Here's my thoughts on the future of my character (Marak Shepard)'s squad and what should happen to them.

I had Full Paragon, and was a Vanguard.



ME1 Only Squadmates

Ashley: Killed her off on Virmire (I didn't like that she was being racist).

Kaidan: He should Join the squad. he was cool to talk to, and had a pretty interesting back story.

Liara: She went on to become the Shadow Broker. wouldn't make much sense for her to rejoin.

Wrex: He's the leader of the Krogan now, so he should lead the Krogan army



ME2 Squadmates

Miranda: She should stay, She said she would, and she owes me for saving her sister.

Jacob: he can stay if he wants, or go, I didn't really talk to him that much.

Mordin: he said he'd probably retire, I won't miss him that much

Garrus: I see no reason for him to leave, and he was an awesome friend.

Jack: I hope she ditches, she got on my nerves

Grunt: He probably won't leave. I'm his battle master and he's awesome

Tali: She shouldn't leave, she's My LI, and an integral part of my squad.

Samara: She'll probably stay, I was full paragon, so she'd probably like to stay.

Thane: He's probably dead from his Kepral Syndrome.

Legion: He should stay, he's the other integral part of my squad.

Mass Effect

Ashley/Kaidan: Defently return, they were boring but i miss em!

Wrex: No need to.

Liara: Once again no need to.

ME2

Miranda: Of course! She is a LI she should return.

Jacob: I guess, i mean he was boring but once again he was a LI.

Garus: Of Course! He has no need to leave. LI.

JAck: Better freaking return. I loved her and she is my LI.

Mordin: Yes. No need to leave really.

Grunt: Yes. I mean Shep is his leader.

Samra: Yeah i guess, i liked her too and she is kind of a romance option.

Thane: No. He needs to die! Lol i didnt like him.

Tali: Yes. No need to leave.

Zaeed: PLEASE NO! i hate him.

Kasumi: I hope so.  I liked her alot. I would love if she is a LI.

Me personally I want the entire ME2 crew to stay. Because that was the crew actually made to take on the reapers. From their I could honestly care less who they add. as long as their capable and bad ass.



Like I said I want the whole crew, but if had to choose must stays for me are, Thane, Grunt, Miranda, Samara, Mordin( A Doctor who gets the job done is just too bad ass) and Tali( I gotta see her face)

I want a few of the ME/ME2 crew to return (Garrus and the VS are my two most wanted choices). So I'm hoping for 8 squadmates -

2 ME2 characters
The VS
5 new faces

That means that there will be a minimum of six squadmates (8 for those who import a ME2). But there is a catch - Bioware will have to decide, if they go by my guideline, what 2 squadmates from ME2 are worthy of permanent squadmates for our Shepard. I personally would like to see Garrus return, as he has both a large fanbase on and off the forums and is among the few who are least likely to leave Shepard's side in ME2 for reasons related to the plot.

However, this may cause backlash similar to the Liara/VS survivor fiasco last year, so anythings possible at this point.

I would like to see everybody come back. I dont know why alot of people want a whole new crew if you didnt like most of the characters in the me2 crew you probably didnt like the game. Since that was one of the main parts of it. I know people including me dont want a mmorpg, but why not have wrex as a squadmate and he can direct teams of krogans to attack at certain places while he goes with you. That is if he gets them to rally together.Thats one way I see him being a squad mate. Liara as said above has an important job. I dont see why everyone cant stay or come back giving they're alive. Im sure we are gonna get new characters but i just dont wanna see half the characters wasted in Wrex apperances. Everybody who was with shepard should know that he needs their help. Even Jack lol

we will see new squad members in ME 3 along with ME 2. but it will be only two or three max. did you ME 3 trailer? of course, I guess that he could be a part of members after all. I think that he looks decent, marine soldier. he could be problem along with Zaeed, Grunt, Jack, or Miranda or Jacob. because he is bloody British, and get little tacky. I don't know. but it is possible.
