So if come Dragon age 2 one of the big decisions you had to make near the end of the game was who to leave in control of Kirkwall, who to leave in power and your only two options were the Chantrys Templars and the Qunari.

Which would you choose?

EDIT: Ok so if you had to choose between the Chantry, Qunari or the Tevinter Imperium Chantry which would you choose?

I'd have to go with templars because they would hopefully be removed later. The Qunari and the Qun I just don't trust to leave. I hope we aren't forced to make this decision because I don't see it working well either way.

Chantry. I hate them, though they are probably a lot nicer to the people than the Qunari.

Hawke shall rule over Kirkwall with his securitron Golem army.

I would probably call BS and stop playing the game if decisions where going to be that limited.

Templars, the Chantry may be DAs' equivalent of the Catholic church. But you'd ultimately have more freedom under them than the Qunari.

I wonder if the chantry, nevermind.

Between the Qunari and the Chantry, I would probably go with the Chantry even though I like playing as the mage and don't like the Chantry, but it does give people more rights and freedom.

But then again we don't know a whole lot about the Qunari and the Qun apart what what Sten tells us, and that isn't a lot considering what we know from our 'hands on' experiances with the Chantry; however we also don't know alot about the Kirkwall branch of the Chantry apart from (what we've learnt from the devs) their a whole lot more stricter with their mages and perhaps a lot more corrupt then the Ferelden branch.

Depends. I'd leave the Imperial Chantry in charge, sure. But not the normal Chantry.

Personally I'd rather let Kirkwall devolve into anarchy.

Qunari, a decision sure to set tongues wagging among the mages (if they had any left).

Thank you i'll be here all week, try the veal.

Well what I'm hoping is that I would get the Qunari to ally with me to push the Chantry out of Kirkwall but not submit to the Qun.

I would let them fight it out amongst themselves while my character slips out of Kirkwall. She will be sipping a piña colada on a sandy beach somewhere by the time their conflict is resolved.

The chantry without a doubt. If I had to choose between living in a world where the chantry ruled vs one where the Qun ruled I would pick the Chantry world. The Qun is too much about brainwashing, and too much about limiting what people can do. For exampe there are professions you can't pursue because of your gender, females can't be warriors for example. The Qunari are not even allowed to raise their own children. People often bring up the chantry's ill treatment of the mages, but it is nothing against how the Qunari treat their mages. I'm not saying the Chantry is perfect, but it is in my opinion far better than the Qunari.

Honestly? If I had to pick, I'd go with Chantry.

The Chantry, every day of the week. I may not agree with all their actions, but I generally agree with the intent. Even if I didn't, they may try to influence government, but they don't take it over, and they are supported by the bulk of the populace.

This.

But if I was forced to choose between the two, it would depend on the character I'm playing. A mage Hawke, or one who actually liked their family, would definitely go with the Chantry. the Chantry might cage and leash mages figurativly, but the qunari do both literally, plus ripping out their tounges. I also think a female Hawke, regardless of class, would go with the Chantry, given qunari views on the roles of women and such.

It's basically a choice between a group of religous zealots trying to rule the world through total conversion and a society bent on conquering the world through blind obedience and military force.

Lovely :(

I think I'll leave some human noble on the throne if I can. TYVM
