Just curious as to what sort of Hawke you will be rocking for your first playthrough.
Personally I am going to be going for a male (obviously bearded) hawke who will be preferably an arcane warrior (if they include it within the game) but otherwise a normal warrior.
I am interested in playing as a sarcastic/humorous character, something I've never been able to do, so will definitely choose this. I will also take the morally correct (or less evil in some cases) path as well.
Thoughts?

I haven't decided between a rogue and a warrior female Hawke yet, though it will probably be a warrior.

I think I'll be rockin the male warrior, which is a bit odd for me since I usually play rogue characters first

If i don't get around to do a Ranger/archer in DA:O before release, i guess that's what i'll be doing.

Whichever class works best for button mashing.

Rogue (I for one love the new Ninja moves and I always play rogue first), female Hawke. I am very tempted to use the default face, because I think she is very pretty, but I am not completely decided on that.

Default male, probably, first time I've thought the default face good enough in a BW game but there you go, that facial hair's too intense to pass up.
In terms of class I'd say warrior, I have a major weakness for massive swords and I like to start out with a fairly tough character for the first playthrough or so

At first i was considering doing a male warrior, but recently im considering doing a mage since mage combat looks way better than what it was in Origins, as my first playthrough with the male hawke default face

A male mage named Edmundo Hawke (bearded of course) with too much sense of humour, and a female mage who hates the chantry that will look a little like this:

I don't usually play as a mage but being that Hawke comes from a family of apostates I want to try it first.
If they release the character creator first as they did with Origins I can start creating them right now.

Rogue female with maxed coercion or coercion equivalent. I really want to delve into the new conversation system and see all the options.

Quest for Glory - All classes
Diablo - Rogue
BG - Fighter/thief
Diablo II - Amazon or Assassin
NWN - Fighter/thief
KotOR - Sentinel
WoW - Fighter or Paladin
ME - Soldier
DA:O - Warrior
Torchlight - Explorer
Oddly enough, I'm considering a mage in DA 2. Though that image of Lady Hawke twirling a massive two-hander is weakening my resolve.
I am considering doing the first playthrough on nightmare.

I am absolutely doing this. With a mage.

I'm strongly leaning toward a female 2-handed warrior. If friendly fire remains active only on Nightmare, then I guess I'm playing on Nightmare.

I'm cosidering to do so for the same reason, but I'm afraid it may be too hard for me.Andrastee wrote...

Probably a warrior, possibly a rogue, maybe a mage.

Mage, probably.

Nightmare Rogue though I'd prefer Hard no FF forces my hand really. My first runthrough is always using what I'd choose, and then later runthroughs can be be the I am holier than thou and moustache twirling evil.
Probably warrior and mage after rogue, in that order I hated playing mage in origins it was.. just bad.

Mages always. Probably female. As far as difficulty goes, I'll probably start at normal and continuously ratched up the difficulty until I can't stand it anymore. I suspect Hard may be more appropriate for me in DA2, whereas I preferred normal in Origins.

Etrius Hawke
All my RPG characters (in different worlds) are called Etrius.
2 hander warrior
if Bioware gives me the chance to NG+ then that will be my sole character for 10+ playthroughs

Am not sure yet, can't decide and am thinking up more characters in my head already. Started with 3 now got another one thanks to the making of video...
UlrichVon Hawke (or add space between first two words if can), probably be a Warrior. Torn between trying to stylise him in the look of Heath Ledger or more like the Ulrich Von Hawke image. Probably be a 2H Warrior. Naturally 1st playthrough will be my 'play it as it comes' Hawke. After that if I've got basic idea of story I'll try moulding the others so they follow different paths (or at least 'opinions/actions').
I'm also trying to work out which Hawke's will have which of my DAO playthroughs as imports.

2 handed male warrior as 1st playthru
Female mage as 2nd playthru
3rd playthru will either be a rogue or a male mage
If Bioware gives me the chance to NG+ - I won't be using it

Does anyone have any word on whether they've fixed the horrible mage clothing from the first game? If they have better-looking mage outfits I might play mage otherwise it's good old warrior for me.

Mage first. Always mage. Male. Hard first like always - the system doesn't seem so different from DA:O so I might be tempted to try nightmare on the first go - but it all comes down to what the learning curve will be for the system.
