Oh, and I think I'll name my first character Spar, or some variation thereof
Spar Hawke/Sparhawk, anyone? :P

Too few people got the David Eddings reference. Pah!

On topic, I'm planning to play a female rogue, who's agressive, angry and sarcastic, but with a very strong morality, based on Commander Vimes from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. Dual weapons, methinks, given that that was my favourite in DA:O and, as in Origins again, focus more on agility in combat rather than stealth, stealing and lock-picking.

Male Hawke Archer (Assuming they fixed their damage.)

Probably on Hard difficulty and he'll be a slightly silly gadabout, though when combat or situation calling for a serious attitude comes, he'll be a cold deadshot.

Just another question of mine -

Has this new info on Bethany/Carver (if you play as a mage you get carver, but if you play as a warrior/rogue you get bethany- whether they are actually full companions is not known) made you change your mind on your character?

I haven't changed my mind, but I'm bummed out. I really liked what I'd seen of Bethany so far, and I wanted her in my party.

Male mage, control-focused spec. Goofy personality, good story choices.

To be followed by a female rogue or warrior (I'll decide which after playing the classes as companions), gruff personality, probably picking the good story choices over again because being evil is too depressing.

Sorry, but I've been away for a while, where was this confirmed?
Anyway, I'll play as a female Rouge with my "good" DA:O playthrough imported, and then A Female mage with the playthrough where I destroyed the circle.

Probably run my standard character for a new role play game: Male, fighter, mostly good.

My first playthrough will most likely be a female warrior named Bastila Hawke. Still subject to change though.

Im going to start off with a Mage Hawk go bloodmage and just be evil and Kill anyone that gives me reason to. I love being evil or just be nice until some says or does something that makes me want to kill them or threaten them.

I was going to play Hawke as a male mage first and a female warrior second, but the Bethany/Carver reveal has put a damper on my enthusiasm for that, as I wanted to play the big brother role for Bethany. I may just switch the two around, and play big sister with my warrior first.

If it's anything like my experiences with DA:O, I expect leaving mage for my second playthrough will actually enhance my enjoyment of the class, as I'll know what spells I want to take, etc.

Still, it's a pity. I just love playing mages.

Wow, I hadnt heard about that beore either, that throws a great big question mark on everything I guess. I liked what I had learned about Bethany, have no interest in carver whatsoever, but if you only get one or the other depending on your class, that would seem to suggest that they're only temporary teammates anyway, and thus it would be pointless to make a class-decision based on which one you like best. So let's put it this way, aside from the whole Bethany/carver thing I'd be more inclined to start as a Mage, although I like what I'm hearing about Rogues. If it turns out that playing as a mage means I'm stuck with a really crappy teammate I don't want for the whole game instead of the vastly superior one we all want, there's a good chance I'll change my mind. If they're only temporary anyway, I probably won't much care and will go with my initial preference. So I guess time will tell :) .

In any event however, my first Hawke will be a Good Female character, and probably my Save Game Import will probably be from one of my Mages, who saved the Circle, romanced Leliana, asked Queen Anora to free the Circle, and just was a generally all-round good Warden. I tend to prefer playing Good characters :) . So that's my plan as of right now.

I'm gonna be an good Assassin rouge in my first playthrough, then a bad-ass warrior in my second.

First male, then female.

Richard Hawke will be a mage and will separate Kirkwall from the Chantry as Henry viii did with the Catholic Church, as Viscount I should have that kind of power and would like to see other kingdoms follow my example.

It certainly has me considering rolling a rogue first instead of the mage I was going to do. Just because I find the brother/sister dynamic to be a very interesting one and was very eager to explore that aspect of the game.

I'm still hoping the 'if you don't recruit Aveline, you get to keep both of them' rumor turns out to be true.

I think tying the characters' survival to the PC's class is a clumsy, corner-cutting mechanic, but as it happens the results suit my characters fine -- the snarky male mage teases but also shelters his uptight and competitive little brother, while the tough melee girl has more of a mutual-reliance relationship with Bethany.

I normally prefer rouges, but I think I'll do my 1st playthrough as a sarcastic FemHawke mage, the "coming from a family of apostates" thing is just a little to interesting to ignore. Also, Staff or Parlathan FTW!

Ill play as a male Hawke, probably a rogue. I only play as rogue cause it lets me pick locks ;>>
Anyways, Ill be all goodie and flirty, but with a nice heap of WRATH thrown in. Being good is nice and all, but I don't like being a pushover. No revenge, but a nice helping of vengeance. The legal kind, duh! XD

So far I've decided on:

Rogue.
No tatoos.
No idea if male/female yet... whatever takes my fancy at the time. My next play through is always the opposite anyhow.
Good/Sarcastic, but not a pushover for the personality.

In DA:O I went Mage, Fighter, Rogue but had so much fun with the Rogue it's now my favourite class (I worked out I love dual wielding). Second play through will probably be Mage, and last Fighter.
