Do you prefer the Liara romance or the Tali romance, and why?


Also, what would you consider to be the worst romance?

Worst romances: Tali, Liara, and Jack.



I never play femShep so I cannot speak to those.

Worst romance? For me, Ashley. THE POETRY, IT BURRRNNNSSSS! Seriously, I like her a lot, and the buildup was great, but the actual romance scene? Ugh.



I like Liara's romance a little better than Tali's, but that's because I really like the direction her character took in LotSB. She'll do anything for Shepard and loves him/her more than anything else in the universe, but she doesn't let that hold her back and manages to become one of the most powerful women in the galaxy. Tali's is full of win as well, but that's because it's adorable. The fidgety hands get me every time.



My favorites, though, are Jack and Garrus.

I like Liara's more, but that's largely by default; she's open to Femshep, she starts earlier, and she's got a lot more development. Tali's seems great as well.

Liara got me with LOTSB, and she has the best chance to be in ME 3 compared to the other LIs

Also, for worst romance, I would say Jack, though my reasons are controversial.

Tali. Shepard has known her since the 1st game and she doesn't try to push Shepard into confessing attraction a day after knowing him/her. Another bonus is she's more exotic than a blue human woman with a tentacle headpiece.

Choose yourself, who cares what someone else likes? If you choose based on the opinion of someone else, then you are missing the point of RPGs.



Personally, I think Morinth is the worst romance, unless you like the idea of ''death by snoo snoo!''



Seriously though, there isn't a single bad romance in the game, as they all cater to someones taste. My favourite is Ash by a longshot. But not everyone shares the same taste in women as me.

Tali is always like my sister, I care about her but never cross the line.

It is far more interesting to get involve with Liara, to see how her character grow from ME to ME2, it just make me love her more than anyone LI.

It's alway good reading this kind of messages... I find so pointless rampaging just because the other users play a different version of the story 


About me, in ME1 I always romanced Liara (just once Ash, in a quick playtrought) and with LotSB she became again one of my fav. characters in ME2 too, but as "final coupling" with my Shepard I simply found natural romance Tali. She's an awesomely written character and she fits perfectly the kind of Shepard that I rhole-play.

I can understand also the "little sister" situation... Tali works well as this kind of character too, she pass trought some very emotional moments that can be see easily in both ways.

Romance Liara. She gets WAY more development and LotSB gives her romance an exciting taste of what is to come. Don't listen to the people who want Tali as they are talimancers and can't accept anyone else's romance. Tali is just too weird to romance as she showed sudden attraction when there shouldn't be and the romance shows that it shouldn't exist but does purely for the fanservice to the talimancers. My advice, Liara has a bigger impact than Tali so chose Liara. She is WAY better.

You humans are all racist!

For me? Tali. She stuck with you through both games, and the relationship feels more real and believable than "OMG I LUV U AFTER ONE DAY" feel that Liara's romance kinda had. Plus, Liara becomes an emotionless husk in ME2 yet Tali becomes more awesome.

I did like Liara in LOTSB though but I wouldn't romance her.

I was torn by the end of shadow broker, just couldn't choose. On one hand you had liara, who brought you back, utter dedication. But then I just ended up restarting and going with tali... I just like her too much. Liara is more like, the ultimate friend in my case, strange situation.

Tali is a close second, but even without the chirality and immunity issues to work through, sex with her just seems... wrong. Wouldn't mind fogging up her visor a little, though.

Worst romance would definitely be Morinth. Dying after one night of passion would just plain suck.

I agree with every part of this post.  Liara comes into her own in ME2, but Tali continues to be the awkward nerd, which is so cute.

I actually missed Liara's social awkwardness from ME1. It was cute, and so is Tali's in ME2. I'm sticking with Liara though, just because I still felt Tali was a little immature. Romancing her made me feel like a pedophile.

Maybe it was a bit of a crush in ME1, but in ME2 she's clearly shown what Shepard means to her - risking a friend and possibly her life to rescue his body, not being judgmental about Shepard working for Cerberus, distancing herself at first because she didn't want the pain of losing him again...



Tali, to me, felt more like a crush.

Tali really was a crush. Also, she got very mad when she heard you were with Cerberus. She didn't even listen to learn why.
