Isn't this a submission preferrable to extinction?
What if we just bow before the invaders? Would we still be able to exist?

I tried convincing people to submit in this thread. The results were hilarious.

Don't make me paragon you into suicide. You won't like me paragoning you into suicide. People say it's rather, ... discomforting!

We have to submit.
(considering their previous organic servants failed, I doubt we are going to get the option)

If I am not mistaken we saw what the Reapers had planned for humanity at the end of ME2, I have a feeling in ME3 is would be something similar or out right extinction, I doubt they are really interested in "human slaves". Add in the fact that IF they did not wipe everyone out, they would indoctrenate the humans and ME 1 told us that after the reapers leave, those that were indocteronated, died unable to survive without the Reapers.

Oh hai Saren, how's it going?
Apparently you forgot our whole "our existence will come to an end anyway" conversation before I pumped you full of hot plasma.

You've seen the vision from the beacon. All of you people should understand what the Reapers are capable of. They cannot be stopped. Do not mire yourself in pointless revolt. Do not sacrifice everything for the sake of petty freedoms. The Protheans tried to fight...and they were utterly destroyed. Trillions dead. But what if they had bowed before the invaders?

I wondered if the Reapers even accepted that during one of their many cycles.

"I'm not doing this for myself. Don't you see,Sovereign will succeed. It is inevitable. My way is the only way any of us will survive. I'm forging an alliance between us and the Reapers, between organics and machines, and in doing so, I will save more lives than have ever existed. But you would undo my work. You would doom our entire civilization to complete annihilation, and for that, you must die." -Saren Arterius

No. I would fight them even if they are friendly, offer their tech for free, and do not enslave or kill organics. Because fighting against such powerful opponents is fun!
