Just played through ME1 again as FemShep and romanced Liara, sheerly because of this:



Haven't seen how this plays out in LotSB, looking forward to that.

Romanced Kaidan the second play-through for completeness.

Romanced Garrus because I've had a huge crush on him like forever, and since then, I'm finding it almost impossible to romance anyone else, even For Science.

Garrus for Fem Shep because well, come on, it's Garrus. If my Man Shep could romance him, he would dump Liara instantly and without mercy.

Romanced Ashley because she felt like the right choice for my male Shepard, and I'm glad I did. I just hope it pays off in future DLC or ME3, since Horizon was awful.

Romanced Thane with my female Shepard. He's a fascinating and romantic character all around, and if romanced, he literally loves Shepard. I don't think I could ask for a better love interest for my female Shepard. Thane is by far my favorite of all the male love interests, followed by Kaidan.

My main Shepard, I romanced Tali. I've liked her since ME1, she's always in my squad, and I dunno, I just like her attitude and personality I guess. Plus, she's got a cool suit, her species is interesting, and that accent. Just awesome.



And no, I'm not an insane Tali fanatic. >_< The people who go overboard give those of us that like her as a character a bad rap.

If there was a way I could have hacked ME1 to jump Garrus, I so would have done it.

I choose romances depending on the Shepard I'm playing and what works for them. I chose Garrus first because he's my favorite squadmate and one of my favorite characters overall.

I thought everyone knew it was possible to play another character as Shepard, or a MaleShep in place of FemShep. I mean, there are youtube videos and screenshots of that. xD But can two squadmates/other characters be switched is the question, and will it work in ME1?

The character my Shepard always goes for is Miranda. She's a very confident woman who is very capable of doing what needs to be done just like Shepard and she always comes off like she's Shepard's equal and not some flunky like the other possible LIs end up seeming. She's always in the decision room giving her opinion and view points and never becoming overly emotional like our friend Ashley. Even with all her attitude though she still has emotions and a deep fear that the life they have will end up with one of them dying which most of the LIs never talk about.

So I'm not the only one who thought she was hilarious? That 'Tuians think they know scorched earth? F**k em!' had me howling in laughter. Plus, as previously mentioned in far more eloquent detail, Jack's is entirely about trust, which I found rather sweet. Since my shep for her was a Spacer/War Hero Paragon and Total Walking Cliche I also felt that Jack fascinated him with her attitude and total lack of hero-worship/awe he usually gets when talking to people. (Rather like how Darcy found Elizibeth attractive in Pride and Predjudice actually)
