Yes. My play time has always been relatively scarce and I was late to the party (started playing NWN in 2006) so I have found enough single player modules to keep me busy the past 5 years. There are some amazing single player modules still being created. People are really missing out if they do not give some of them a try. I am thankful for the authors of these modules, since I dont have the time required to immerse myself in a MP world.

Definitely. Time zones and available time are considerable restraints on the ability to enjoy PWs, not to mention a lot of people prefer the discover the story aspect of single player modules, and the amazing quality of projects that are constantly being released.

Hello,

Juste un petit mot pour les amateurs de modules Neverwinter 1 en français, Le "chateau des voleurs" (Thief Headquarters) est proche d'une nouvelle release (direct de la 0.85 à la v.0.95 :)

Just a word... Le "chateau des voleurs" (Thief Headquarters) is approaching a new release (straight to the v.0.95 :) Yes it's a french language module (someday i could translate it if there is enough interest).

Thanks to all the courageous men and women who helped in this endeavour.

There exist some thing, some magic, in single player modules that I cannot find in the years of multiplayer I've sat down on.  It is difficult to explain.  The best way to describe it is like picking up an interesting book that interests you so much that you can't put it down until it is complete.  In multiplayer, you may have the luxery of a DM and players that help you create a story, but its not the same.  In single player, you can control the pace (you play when you want), and everything is set for you waiting for you to discover.  You are also, more probable than not, the focal point of the story, so it engages you even more.  Stories are also much more focused in a single player game than anything I have really experienced in multiplayer, comparatively speaking.

I love multiplayer but I'm always happy to sit down and pull up a good module when I get the chance.

Goblin Boy is on its way. This is the first single player module I have planned for Arnheim.

Premise is that you are locked in your parent's basement due to having been cursed by a goblin at birth.

Looking forward to finally playing Torslunda, and Goblin Boy sounds like a module I might enjoy, too. How far into development is "on its way"? ;)

Olivier,
I have finished the first two scenes of Goblin Boy, and the creation of most of the foundation of the mod. Unfortunately when it comes to the computer I am obsessive compulsive, so my progress is slow. At this rate, Goblin Boy should be ready by summer. My goal had been before May, but thats not realistic at this point.

Hello, the last version (0.95Beta) of the "Chateau des voleurs" is released... For now, i stop working on it (i think the v.1.0 will take at least 6 months from now). This is a french language module.

Alazander updated AL4's status to "Indefinitely on Hold" on his blog 21 May:

"It's been a very long time since I posted anything substantial about AL4: The Blades of Netheril. If I'm honest with myself, I've been putting off the inevitable. It saddens me to write this, but AL4 is now on indefinite hold. By that, I mean it isn't 100%, non-irrevocably certain never to be released. It's just highly unlikely."

I was really looking forward to this, but life happens.

Thanks for the update Mad.Hatter, sad indeed to read these words from Alazander.

I've updated the list to reflect this.

I'm plugging along on Goblin Boy but much slower than I had hoped. To give myself the time I need to do the job right, I'm going to say that I plan to release it in 2011 instead of Summer 2011. I have finished another scene and working in some adventure and exploration in an otherwise story heavy module. But as always I am a perfectionist and this is my first module. At some point I will probably have to give up on perfectionism and just get this out there, but in the meantime I am holding firm to my standards.

I'd estimate my progress as 30% complete. I hope there are still players that enjoy story heavy mod's by the time I complete this thing.

You probably don't know it yet but you're having the best moment of module making right now: when it gets humanly complicated. Enjoy it fully.
And we'll be here playing it, once you finally vainquished the "Jealous Unmaker", the one who doesn't want any one to finish his module because he always failed at doing so himself.
Tough fight, but winnable.

Just the end movie to make... or so I thought until some previous playtesters offered to give it another try. Ironing out some more bugs that surfaced. Hope to have final within a month.
