Hiring an animal companion

As many of you know, one of the companions in my Lealion the Mage mod is a Mabari Warhound named Legion; I am attempting to rewrite the hiring scripts to make sure Legion has a proper inventory (currently it's the same as any other companion's) for a dog. What would I need to do to make the creature inventory show up properly so only the collar and warpaint slots are available?

At a guess create an EquipmentLayout m2da snippet for your d00gie!

EDIT: I suspect you can simply duplicate the gen00fl_dog entry and change the tag but if someone was making a custom entry, say for a genie, the values used to determing the AvailableEquipmentSlot are in the _SourceData worksheet in the BITM_base workbook.

Yes, a tried-and-tested solution in EquipmentLayout is

ID=same as PartyPicker
Tag=companion's tag
AvailableEquipmentSlots=794624
Layout=2
EnableWeaponSets=0

For the talents to work, Line 78 of packages_base in packages.xls (Dog) should have the LevelUpTable column set to 257 which is the ALDog table.

Otherwise, animals are configured just like normal followers.

If you allow Unique Power items, you might want to restrict them (but maybe Legion is smarter than the average pooch).
