While I'm normally not someone for Vengeance, holy GOD did it feel good to slice into that basterd Vaughn!  I'm not letting him out from now on in my other stories.  My Human one I thought he was simply captured by Howe and impressioned, oh sir no, rot in that dungeon you evil SOB.

Umm..did you play as a male or a female..because in my experience, it feels so much more..epic as a female elf.

Female Elf, and FULLY Agreed, I think that's why it felt so good to stab him. To top it off, was playing a Rogue and it all just seems to fit so well together.

Some poor noble locked in Howe's dungeon like all the others.

I find it interesting that the elf in the other cell didn't mention who V was.

City Elf is probably my favorite origin so far, followed at a close second by the Dwarven Commoner.

Prolly doing city elf next run myself, dwarf noble and human noble so far, and human noble has really been disappointing, hoping the end story makes up for the lackluster.  But oh well just me.

I heard about how male elf works, and I agree, my female elves (I put a Warrior and a Rogue through; Rogue just FEELS more appropriate to me for some reason) made me feel REAAALLLY good about killing a bastard.

Yea, haven't tried the Commoner one yet, trying to do them each on their own game saves.  Reiella when you choose who is king Human Noble can pop up, and it's mentioned slightly when you finally hunt Howe down.

I haven't done the city elf as a female, but as a male, it was pretty satisfying to tear down that guy after his arrogance. I liked the Human noble one as well, sliding a blade through Howe's ribs near the end.

I haven't gotten very far in the Dwarven Noble's questline, but I loved being able to kill that scout when he betrayed you, that was pretty sweet.

He actually did mention the guy to me when I went through.  He said he was locked up for something to do with the son of the Arl of Denerim raping his wife-to-be, so when I eventually found V in the cell it had the option 'You're the son of the Arl that elf mentioned...'  and I killed him.

i like the dialog option "errr..aahh...sod it! (attack)" (or something to that affect) when interacting with the three guards sitting at the table. i love how you just throw a knife in the guys neck!

The sod it choice also makes that fight noticably easier. I was caught completely off-guard, I have to say, when the archer was taken out via cut-scene before the fight started by doing that.

I played a male city elf but made a small backstory where my character was really close with Shianni... Vaughn got what he deserved to put things simply.

Oh, I painted the castle walls red with the blood of every soldier on Vaughan's payroll the moment I found that one elven bridesmaid dead.

Only played the male city elf so far and I was pretty impressed. Hope the others are as good.

I found the male city elf one a bit of a letdown after doing female human noble the first time. The human noble storyline caught me REALLY off guard with just how deeply tragic it was (and how fast it came on; all those people I said I'd talk to again later!), and the city elf one is less so (not only that, but you get your revenge on the spot instead of 60 hours later)

Started a Female City Elf Rogue the other night. What I am loving is how the different origins really give good roleplaying material. I'm hostile towards humans and I've got a damn good reason.

I haven't played city elf yet, but did meet him as a Dalish elf.

The actor managed to play him as a very sleezy guy. He made my skin crawl with the way he was talking and addressing my elf (and with the sound of his voice). So, considering my PC helped most other people - she left him in the dungeon :D. Then he showed his true self.

Female City Elf is one of the very best beginnings. I didn't change into armour my first time through, so I wound up with an excellent screenshot of my character standing over Vaughan in a bloody wedding dress. It also made interacting with Shianni more poignant, especially after I took all the blame.

Casteless Dwarf was the best origin for me. I actually felt emotionally attached to the character's sister and friend Leske.

It is because of the story that I decided to roll a dwarf rogue.

Yeah female elf city origin was pretty good and quite brutal if you ask me... though personally i felt the best origin is the castleless dwarf with female city elf coming in second.

Mage origin wasn't that good imo and human noble lacked the brutality like city elf.

I didn't really play female elves because personally i don't think they look good in most armors(especially massive).

I Dunno, playing a male elf had a lot of impact. Maybe I'm all old fashioned and crap, but I took him out. And Told the lady that we treated him like the dog he was...it was awesome. My favorite Origin so far. All of them are good though...that I've played.

My female elf Daeni (rogue) was rather hostile to humans to begin with so being whacked unconscious by one and imprisoned as view to being raped and possibly murdered aswell as her kin being slain was not going to go down to well with her. She never hesitated to kill him. I like this one the best so far even got some extra dialog with the king which was cool (poor guy really got an earful as did Duncan). Duncan (and the king) looked quite awkward when she told the king she killed arl's son for trying to rape her.
