Bah, the Krogan can keep those buckets. I can't be bothered interrupting my quest to save the galaxy to keep finding replacement combustion manifolds.... :P

Seriously, I kinda just hope they bring back the Hammerhead - but this time, make it so that it doesn't go up in a mushroom cloud the second a geth throws some harsh language at it.

I'm for occasional driving, not a single veichle for the whole time. I've got a mission on a city? Then the astrocar, like in LotSB. Tuchanka? Then the tomka. And possibly a last ride on the Mako, just to have a Garrus and Tali doing some party banter about the driving skills of Shepard ^^

But I guess we'll have to expect a regular veichle too, so maybe an improved Hammerhead, or a new veichle with the name of another shark is quite plausible.

I never thought I'd say this, but I actually miss the Mako. Dump the Hammerhead for Mako please.

Make the Hammerhead a real tank, with real armour and everything. Plus a real gun, not the missile launcher with a mind of its own.

Bring the Mako back, but make it an exploration rover. It can go places the tank can't (climbing 90-degree cliffs FTW), but is more fragile and doesn't have a heavy weapon.

Hey, it's not a bad idea at all... but also we should have the chance to choose which vehicle take with us, to make things a little bit more strategic.

And make them upgradable, so you can improve durability of shielding and armor, speed or weapon mods. In other words not like in ME1 where simply having electronics skills made the Mako easier to repair. Also I want to have more companions available in each (seriously, only 3 people fit them? Really?).
It'd be kinda nice if you actually had to fight other Mako and Hammerhead type vehicles, not just Geth and Threshers in them. Dotted about both games are various mercs who have an APC nearby, so why don't they ever think of getting in them and turning their cannon on you?

Agreed almost on everything except about the extra companions thing. The choice of the landing squad should be done aboard the ship for the same reasons of the choice of the vehicle: eventually you might choose a third companion to left on the vehicle, that will give a certain bonus instead of another seeying who is: example... Mordin would brought an attack bonus 'cause his incendiary ammos, Tali a shield bonus and so.

I like a lot the idea of fightin agains others APCs.

Oh, just remembered! I want a gunship. The Blue Suns and Eclipse had them, Shepard must have one too.

^I support the Idea of gunships If we can drive a flying car we can use gunships

also why not have both the mako and hammerhead both upgradeable and have the ability to choose which one you want to use on mission

I think I'd prefer one a bit more like the ones out of Avatar, but yeah, I share the sentiment

There are YMIR's, so what if Mordin and Jacob, with the help of Tali and Fortack, can jury rig one to allow a pilot?
Mass Effect: Mech Warrior, Generation One.

I'd like the Hammerhead to return, but only if Bioware upgrades it's armor and not the paper nonsense we had here. And shields too would be nice yo.  Also, give it a alternate weapon like a mounted machine gun.

And gives us a Skycar too, if only so we can have more sweet chases like the one in Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Retooled Mako for heavy assault missions, retooled Hammerhead for fast strike missions and exploration, gunship would be pretty awesome and lastly, no Normandy space battle.

As we have killed so many of thems, they should have some gunships they don't need ;)

Besides:
An upgraded version of the Mako with better thrusters and maybe something like the space taxi from LotSB.

Same here. MAKO was slow as hell, and I killed everything on foot anyway (more XP).
Hammerhead is a POS mario-go-cart that hovers.

How about a vehicle design system aboard the Normandy? (ok, that sounds dumb even to me)

Skycar and shuttle could be "standard equipment"... Why not steal a gunship from the Blue Suns, or found and repaired (ie loooot!), hammerhead - steal it from TIM.

UPgrade from the science station to add the armor, weapons etc. (skycar with fare meter AND pop up machine gun! blue hornet car anyone?)

Just thinking outside the box --- or maybe the box fell on my head -- dunno

Seconded; I don't like Hammerhead and hate the MAKO, although good-looking and fun (first ride only) I don't like the Vasir chase anymore either.

Normandy is good enough to get you where you wanna be fast and easy!
I like Shep to fight - not bumbing around on hostile terrain like a boyscout ;)

Conceptually I liked the mako but it had horrible handling.  Any bump you hit would spin it out of control, too much of a pain in the ass to drive in a striaght line.  Still I like it better than the hammerhead at least it felt like an armored vehicle.

After using the Featherhead, I really missed the Mako. I was reminiscing on the times when I was exploring a strange new planet, where the only thing that was keeping me alive was being inside a sardine can, like a real astronaut would. So this weekend replayed a bit of ME1, and uh, I have to say I'm really not missing BW's version of Big Rigs. At all.

I want a Dreadnought! When I fire it's main gun, I can shout at my computer, "This, recruits, is a 20 kilo ferrous slug! Feel the weight!" But honestly, there are things I like about the Mako and the Hammerhead, so I'm sure I'll like whatever BioWare brings to ME3.

If I had to pick one I’d go with the Hammerhead. Tho increase the shields, give it a hud and a better gun or let us purchase upgrades. However don't increase the shields to the extent of the mako. The Hammerhead is light and fast, more of a scout and exploration vehicle that a tank. Lets keep it that way.
I don’t know that I like the idea that you should be able to pick and chose witch vehicle to take at the start. I don't think that would work well, they would have to build the level design around both vehicles and the quality could suffer as a result. They both play very differently and are suited for different terrain. They could make the levels huge with different paths but again not sure quality wouldn’t suffer for this. I do however support the idea of different missions for both the mako and the hammerhead.
