Help! I've just installed Mass Effect, and i've just got the control of the Normandy...
And i can't save the game. :huh:It's simply greyed out. :(It started that when i reached the train station where i have to disable the geth bombs and where the first vision is seen(Eden Prime). Since then, only autosave works.:(
Also, when i enter the Galaxy Map, everything is black, and i can only see the system's name, but i can see during zooming out...
My Config:
AMD Athlon II X2 215 2,71 GHz processor
nVidia GT 130 768 Mb video card
2GB DDR3 SDRAM
Realtek ACL662 sound card(set audio to software mode to solve sound problems)
Windows XP SP3
PC Version of the game

Tried turning on and off VSync, motion blur & film grain. Neither works...<_<

Only the very first pirated PC version had that map problem.

Well, "maybe", don't forget that a lot of noobs want to look at the map from near the doorway instead of walking all the way to where it starts to work. But in that case it doesn't act this way, I'm pretty sure (can't remember).

By the sounds of it he's opening the map screen and having nothing appear but the names of the places pointing to nothing in blackness. Sounds all a bit odd to me rarther than something he;s doing that is noobish

Yes, it's pirated, but only because i want to try it before buying.

And no, planets/stations don't show up, only the system name(widow). The music doesn't plays either...

Well, from the sounds of it, those problems are because it is pirated. Buy the game to fix it.

Mass Effect costs €10 on Origin. I assume on Origin € = $.

Hey, Fred, I just reported the OP all over again, as if Eurypterid hadn't missed my report and left it alone for seven months (I haven't looked that far back in my PM outbox yet), but I do recall sending some kind of report, maybe just the "Report This Post" thing that is apparently ignored 75% of the time anyone tries to use that.

You missed the age of that comment about pirating the game . .

Let's not be reviving long dead topics... especially when the OP has admitted to piracy.
