Every single thread concerning any want for a love option for a same-sex partner just becomes a debate (really just an ignorant argument) about how gays are bad or how something gay makes them uncomfortable.

I honestly had the most difficult time forcing one of my maleSheps to romance Miranda. While physically very proportionately pleasing, she's just the least interesting of the romancable females... IMO. Everyone has favorites. My hero Sarah Shepard is with Liara (never cheated), I had a Jade Shepard hook up with Thane briefly until LotSB came out, Andrew Shepard is with Miranda, and Lukus Shepard is with Jack... or Tali... I haven't quite made up my mind on that.

So where in the you’re not entitled to love do you get entitlement to food? Love weather that’s m/m, f/f, or m/f is not a necessity to life. It makes it comfortable. It makes it nice but essential no. Now if your going to go for the love is essential to repopulate the species you only need 24 people to fall in love and have sex to maintain that so if you've got a billion loves not a necessity at that time.

Also for my prior statement somehow saying don't act on your own interest in who you choose where is that spelled out in there? I don't see it. If I told you to jump off a bridge would you do it? I think you're smart enough to know that you wouldn't. Now if you told me to throw myself in traffic would I do it? No. Why? Is it because I hate you? No  it's because I have sense not to.

See, I came in knowing ahead of time that you couldn't romance Jack as FemShep, so I didn't even interpret that line as an opening shot by FemShep. The whole scene just came off to me as yet another variant of Jack saying "I'm sick of talking now. Go bug someone else."  I'm still not sure what the actual intent there was, because in all the other cases, the "romance initiator" choices don't even appear on the dialogue wheel if you're the wrong sex, or you just get stuck with a completely different set of choices.  For instance, the Renegade Sex with Jack thing is just non-existent for FemShep. The conversation never even gets there.  Or the "Wanna relieve some stress together?" option with Garrus: for MShep, that choice is missing.

Maybe if those 24 people had the very maximum conceivable genetic diversity and they were really, really fortunate on the food, shelter, and lack of accident/disease front, that'd be possible.  Maybe.  I kinda doubt it though, if we're talking humans.  There are way too many variables involved for that to be anything but a complete and total guess, and it's hardly some universal of genetics.  There are species with plenty more members than that that are having serious problems due to inbreeding after a bottleneck in the past.  But, one species of seal has managed to recover very nicely from a low of around 30 individuals though, so it's not completely inconceivable.  It is ridiculously off-topic though.

Being gay influences a person's personality as much as it influences other people's perception of that person (or character). We, as human beings, are a culmination of the events of our life and the memories we take away. Being gay would change those events drastically.

I'm not going to say that being gay is right or wrong but many people choose not to associate with homosexuals for personal or religious reasons. For Bioware to spring a gay personality trait on Tali at this point would be insensitive to a huge demographic. A much larger demographic than those wanting same-sex relationships with Tali.

Actually, there is no evidence to suggest that she is exclusively straight.  The only way to know for sure would be to ask her, as a FemShep, but you can't.
