But it is still possible to reopen it in ME3. If they treat ME3 the same way they did ME2, reinvestigating LIs for Default Shepards will exist. Reintroducing Tali is a possibility as well.

Wouldn't re-introducing it in Me3 for fshepard be an exact copy of the reintroduction for Mshepard in the second game though?. "I've had feelings for you from the start, just didn't know how you'd react" type of deal.

Doubt it. Why would it? It could be treated as a new LI, if Male! Sheps got a new LI themselves in ME3.

What about people who play as Femshep and have no desire to have Tali ****** over them.
I have a female friend who is sick to death of having female characters throw themselves at her Shepard or having her Shepard act as if shes into women.

First there was Shaira's groping.
Then there was Liara's creepy I WANT YOU speech.

Then there was the dat ass Miranda scene.
Then there was Liara throwing herself at femshep again on Ilos.
Then there was the forced to be interested in Shiala's flirting.

Then there was Tali's "I only want to link suits with you" **** (I asked her today)
Then there was the seducing Morinth.
Then there was the sexual tension in LotSB.

Now she has nothing against lesbians it's just that having so many encounters where women are all over her Shepard make her feel like shes not in a believable sci-fi universe but rather a childish male fantasy.

The lines I bolded are all entirely optional. I play renegade, I've never had the Shiara issue and Liara never threw herself on me. In fact, I rarely saw any lesbian interest in my Shep specifically because I had the option to avoid it, with exception to Morinth and Tali's lines.

In fact, No one has to tackle these relationships. Isn't that part of the Optional Romance territory thing?

Actually every one you bolded is not optional (unless you completely avoid the characters)
Shaira gropes you no matter what.
Liara confesses her feelings for you no matter what.
Liara then throws her arms around you again on Ilos (you may see that as a greeting between friends but when it's some girl you never really liked who had the hots for you its weird)
If you're paragon and help Shiala, she flirts with your Shepard and no matter what your Shepard does a "Yeah baby" smile.
And you may not of sensed it but others do, theres still that feeling that Liara wants Shepard in LotSB even if you didn't romance her.

Cry me a river...I'm sick of men hitting on my lesbian female characters, but I don't campaign to remove heterosexuality from the game or whine about it.

You seem to have something against lesbian relationships/flirting in these games...hmmm.

Also, it's just not 'straight dudes' that are enjoying these f/f relationships.

I was able to ignore it, but to this I add Femshep and Jacob conversations.

I just explained. Tali is interested in Femshep in-game, you just can't reciprocate because that dialogue was cut. Tali's character wasn't revised.

You took my quote out of context.

Jelly was saying how it shouldn't bother someone who plays a mShep if Tali is interested in women in fsheps universe as if to say its exclusively mshep players who would be bothered

I gave an example of where it bothers a person who plays fshep.

This is all entirely depending on your choices (And yes, they are all optional. I play Renegade. That is an option. Most characters are too pissed off at me to flirt).

And, since this is a roleplay game, it also depends on how you interpret the situation.

Did I get the feeling Liara wanted me? No. Not at all. I treated her awfully throughout both games. Respect is one thing, desire another.

Shi'ara may grope (I don't remember if she did this to me or not), but there are also male non player characters who make  advances. Fade comes to mind (Was it fade? The drunk ex C-Sec guy who gives you info about Garrus. I don't remember. But he was pretty heavy on F!Shep). ****** for tat.

Tali's one possible lesbian romantic encounter that can be tossed into the closet of people so chose to shouldn't ruin someone's entire gameplay experience. I'm not going to romance Tali, but if someone wants to, they have every right to ask without me putting them down and saying 'But that isn't what I want!'

Now, if someone put out a thread wanting something that WASN'T optional (Your LI HAS to die no matter what), then I'd take argument.

This is an optional decision that these lady sheps are asking for. Don't knock it down if you don't have to play it :) That's what RPGs are all about, making your own decisions and avoiding others, not dictating the decisions of other people.

Of course, as was I...I also don't feel a sense of entitlement like some do.  I don't believe that only my sexuality should be represented.

Yes, b/c if a dev just switched a bit and Tali was also open to FemShep, her character would totally change.

I'm just plain sick of anyone who will jump down the throats of people who want to have different options in the game.

Stop dictating the way people want to play their RPGs. If an option doesn't effect you, or if it is entirely possible to avoid it, then don't tell me or anyone else how they should enjoy an RPG.

What can Shepard say? Everyone wants'em!

So Tali, like Ashley, was supposed to be a Bi option but it was pulled later?

I'll just put this here

Just skip around 4:00. It's from the LotSB dialogue in the cabin. FemShep has a fully recorded voice, telling Liara that she cares about Tali. Same with Mordin's advice. Actually all other romances (Jack, Miranda) have it.

This proves that Bioware cut the f/f options.

Are you talking to me?  I'm not dictating how someone should enjoy their game but merely providing a counter-example.

My point is that gay gamers (and those that RP gay characters) have to put up with heterosexual advances all the time but no one complains about it or campaigns for the removal of heterosexual romances.  The same cannot be said for the opposite side, and those that complain that a same-sex NPC hit on them and then want these romances removed from the game.

I cry hypocrisy.

Assuming that is the case, Tali for Fem!Shep is a possibility. And keeping her strictly to Male!Shep world is kind of selfish, especially if people are pulling the "Bisexual characters take away from the story!" Card. She might be totally straight in your world, and she could be totally gay in F!Shep's world. It doesn't matter, because Tali seemed to offer herself two both Sheps. One simply didn't have follow up for the above reasons I mentioned

This is also a good point. Look at it from a girl's point of view; she probably doesn't like having just as many females attracted to her as males.

Only when it's at an excess to a point of ridiculousness.

That doesn't make my friend's issue any less true at all.
Regardless of whether a lesbian enjoys the romances as well, she feels as if shes playing in a childish male fantasy.

Why belittle these romances then or complain about them?  The one fix would be to remove them from the game.

What is an excess to you is too little to another.  Also, is their something so bad with lesbian relationships that their numbers need to be 'controlled'?

I feel like I'm playing in a childish male fantasy too due to a lot of the straight romances in the game (Miranda's and Jack's come to mind). Should those be removed or kept to a minimum?

Also good points. The Miranda "Dat ass" scene obviously wasn't an accident. Image IPB

Then she doesn't have to deal with it or she can nuke them in the gut. I've done it, I've optionally ignored it.

There are options out there. People can do what they want. I can do what I want. Thank goodness this is a Roleplaying Game where you have choices and interpretations of your actions and other NPC interactions are a part of the game.

Good thing that I have the freedom to play my game the way I want without someone standing over my shoulder and telling me how it should be done.

And its nice to be on a thread where we can talk about more optional content knowing what I'm interested in doesn't necessarily mean other people are interested in it, but we can all do different decisions that affect things differently.

Just because one person prefers cookies over cake shouldn't mean other people can't have cake.

I didn't see any of the Male!Sheps complaining. And now you are, when we are asking for lesbian options?

This argument confounds me.

Raf, you have no idea how much you are my hero right now. Thanks man :) :) <3:wizard::wizard:

It takes a lot of gall and awesome to be able to accept another point of view and agree on a public forum. You get awesome points for being a cool person.

I said I didn't want every character to be bi, not I don't any bi romaces.

Stop trying to make it sound bad.
Lesbians/bisexuals are not that common, having every female be a hot bisexual stretches what I can believe.
And besides, theres 6 potential lesbian encounters, thats not too little.

I too hate the fact that women throw themselves at my male Shep(Tali and Liara)/are portrayed in a childish male fantasy way (Miranda).
The solution to that would be either yes, scrap them or better yet portray them in a less 'childish male fantasy' way.
