So...is it confirmed the Ser Gilmore actually died in Highever?Sethal wrote...
This. Flemeth does ask Hawke to deliver an amulet to Marethari. The Keeper might repay the favor by volunteering Merrill to help with are quest. Yes it's speculation, but plausible.JoHnDoE14 wrote...
We are all forgetting the temporary party members available during our origins. For all we know, it could be Merrill.
And I do seem to have misplaced my dog whilst in Amaranthine.
Yep, in every origin he turns up dead in Fort Draken... That should rule out any chance of him being a companion or having a cameo in DA2.

I'd be fine with Nathaniel too though.

That's what I'm thinking, too. It's too much of a coincidence. If that is him I love that he's not wearing a robe. It makes more sense to me that an apostate wouldn't wear robes because it would give him away so easily. Also, I think that outfit is cool.PureMethodActor wrote...
I'm on page 4 of this thread, so I'm sorry if I missed anyone confirming/denying this, but the example, the right character, looks WAY TOO MUCH like Anders to be a coincidence. For now, I'm in belief that this mystery former-party-member companion is going to be Anders. My only question: Why is he wearing rogue-like gear and not a robe?
And personally, I'd like it if mages got to wear pants more often, especially if they are supposed to be on the road for long periods at a time. To me, it only makes sense for mages to wear robes when they're hanging out at their towers/residences all day and not going anywhere.

PC: Didn't I just stab you?
Morrigan: Yes, you stabbed me once. I'm level 25. I'd say it's shocking that after 80 hours of playing the game, you haven't grasped the basic mechanics, but it is you we're talking about.
HAHAHAHA. I thought the same thing myself when I first saw that ending. Then again, you did stab her with the "murder knife." That thing is one of the most devastating weapons in the game. Then again, that begs the question:
Ariane: So, you just took out Morrigan like that?
PC: Yeah. She's like level 25 too. Isn't this knife great?
Finn: So why didn't you use the murder knife against the Varterral or the Archdemon?
PC: ...

I suppose it's possible but I doubt Justice would return. If I remember correctly, he makes it pretty clear he doesn't like walking around in a body, and he returns the corpse in the Awakening epilogue.kyuubifred wrote...
Still betting on Justice, since he can't die; at the very least, he'll get a cameo in the fade or something. Although...Anders seemed to be getting quite a bit of love in Witch Hunt. Seeing as absolutely everything else in that DLC was foreshadowing, I suppose it's not unreasonable to expect Anders might be returning...hmm.

In order of preference, Leliana being most preferable.

From Origins, possibly Leliana;
maybe if you left her in Lothering, she ends up leaving with Hawke
instead of the Warden?
Edit: Also, it's confirmed she's not definately killed of by my epilogue ending for Awakening.

So who does that leave us with? Wynne. Anders. Velanna. Sketch. Finn. And then we have the temporary companions, which I believe leaves us with the ever amusing Jowan, Merrill, andddd... first enchanter Irving.
(Let me be the first to say that we are totally going to have Irving as our party member! I am calling it! There is no other possible path!)
Short shot says Anders, as epilogue may mention him wandering with a familiar pirate (and we really don't know too many pirates besides Isa), there is that guy hanging out in that group shot that looks vaguely familiar (if not exact, but both Isa and Fenris look off in that shot, too, so...), and he was a well liked character who I believe the writers have expressed fondness for. The only thing that could get in the way is the Gray Warden thing, but we could run in to him before Awakenings... or five or so years after, when he may be taking a bit of a leave to goof off somewhere ('cmon, Anders wandering off to cause trouble somewhere, Gray Warden vows or no, does not seem all that surprising to me).
Long shot? Finn. The only circle mage we have besides Wynne (who I am sure will make a camo, but I don't really think she'll be a party member- but that's a gut thing with no proof behind it), and they may want one to contrast against the likely apostate (either Hawke or Beth (admittedly, Beth might not be a permanent party member)). There's the two lovely Dalish mages, as well, who I would call the other long shots- it looks like our character would have a reason to meet M early in the story,
I don't think Sketch is that overly likely. I don't think Jowan is, either, although I admit of characters I would love to see again, Jowan is near the top of the list. Hey, everyone has their weird favorites. I like seeing the poor guy screw up of everything he touches with nothing but mostly good intentions.

"- David everyone whined for not having male mage as romance"
"- Anderz!"
They really need to buy out Sims franchise and just meld the two

Leliana?
Zevran? Too many players killed him upon first meeting in Ferelden.
(The) Sten? The Qunari are active in the region after all.
Shale? Neat twist, especially if she's now a Dwarf!

Dog.

I haven't played Awakening but I'd like a female Elf companion so that Velanna is welcome whoever she is.
I can see Leliana as a possibility since she intends to travel the world after the Blight.

I hope they do a horribly misleading Oghren cameo some time early in the game just to freak you out.

Bioware is not gonna just freaking handwave it like that.....again
the most logical ones are Finn (he was awesome) and the other companion from witch hunt (unlikely as she would be redundant and problematic system wise), Velanna, Morrigan (if they did not say already she is not relevant to DA2's story) and Dog. Everyone else can flat out die....
