What do you guys think? who is it? and how it'll be explained? considering that alomst all your companions can die / be killed except "Oghren" who was also a companion in Awakening and since we have Varric I don't think we'll have another male dwarf.
Oghren could be killed, if you pissed him off enough in Origins
I did this and in Awakening he was back, you can say "You are supposed to be dead Dwarf" He says he was knocked out and woke up in a bush.
Which kinda means anyone could be back haha.

I don't think it's Anders.

If this is true I'm now pretty confident Anders is a companion.

Anders was an apostate mage, right? And Bethany will die if Hawke is a mage because that would be too many apostates together?
I don't think it's Anders.
I saw a pic floating around that had the party lined up and in it in the back appeared to be Anders. Though it could have just been a cameo
And have one apostate why not make it a party!

However, since we have 2 rogue companions already (Varric and Isa) I think Nate unlikely, except as a very temp companion. Aveline is a warrior - so is Fenris no? I would expect they may try to keep the companion classes somewhat even, perhaps a little heavier on warriors. Given that you get EITHER Carver or Bethany depending on your class, that makes it more apparent to me that they're trying to keep some balance. Also, history - Origins had 2 mages, 2 rogues, 5 warriors. Awakening had 2 rogues, 2 mages, 2 warriors.
So far, we know of 2 rogues, 2 warriors (Aveline, Fenris), 1 mage/warrior choice issue (Bethany/Carver) and no other announced mages (that I recall?)
So I'll bet Anders, with Velanna and Finn as choices 2 and 3.

I'd be happy to see either of them frankly

I'm guesing Anders or Nathaniel. They both make references to being in the Free Marches (Anders' reference is in an epilogue that hints to adveturing with Isabela).
If we're really sticking to Origins characters then possibly Zevran or Wynne (gah I hope it's not Wynne but it would go along with the "we need more mages" theory).

Nathaniel Howe is my favourite character in all the games.

It makes no sense to use a character from the expansion or dlc. I doubt they'd do that.
Why not? It seems to me they have the most potential for character develoment . . . all the Origins characters have already been developed.

I'd rather see Finn, Ariane, Sigrun or Shale than any of the names previously dropped. Sigrun in particular has great potential.
I'd love to see Ariane or Finn return. They were a hoot.

Definitely but I wouldn't want to seperate them, they have some chemistry going on heh.

I'll try and find the thread.
Here it is - http://social.biowar...1/index/3346184
Mike's comment -
"Nathaniel spent a year in Kirkwall? It's like we planned this!
Note: We planned this.
Note2: Wonder how many other side references are actually foreshadowing?
Note3: "The part that will really bake your noodle is whether you would have broken the vase if I hadn't said anything.""
