So AW's are toast, well no preorder for this fellow.
So a wizard in plate mail is the necessary and sufficient condition for you to buy a game?

The fact is, if you got rid of the thrice blasted trinity it would allow for more realistic Hp system & for more realistic combat roles
This is an excellent reason to keep the thrice-blasted trinity.

It's a game. Deal with it.Aermas wrote...
I don't know why strength is a requirement for armor, it takes no heroic amount of strength to wear most armor, I could accept an allowance for massive armor to remain restricted but light & medium armors should be allowed. & since magic in not hindered by armor, why aren't they wearing armor?

Yes a game that as I learn more and more about and see what has been removed becomes less and less interesting. As pointed out by others when a sequel is made the choices are usually increased not decreased. Bioware did the opposite.Ziggeh wrote...

So what? That's his opinion. For some people, these things are deal breakers, no matter how big or small they seem to be depending on your perspective.
Face it, just because you find taking things out acceptable doesn't mean the rest of us have to.

Whether the class is "OP" or not has nothing to do with it. If there is nothing of interest in a game for you, why would you play it?
For many, it starts with the character first. Without the race/class they want, they wont play.
It's really that simple.

I think it has less to do with being a superior warrior and more with being a mage that can mix it up. As someone who has played this archetype numerous times in past games, I can understand the appeal. Playing a warrior can be very, *very* boring in most games. Warriors rarely get a dizzying array of combat manuevers to play around with. In older games they amounted to clicking attack and playing spectator. A gish provides that experience while offering options to keep things interesting. It also allows one to stick to a class they are comfortable with while branching out to new things (for them). Finally, it is an old fantasy fiction trope. There is even Odin who is kinda sorta a mythological origin for the concept.
Personally, I thought arcane warrior failed to scratch that itch since it was limited to auto attacking, but I can understand why someone might not want to buy a game if their playstyle was not properly supported. I skip games all the time if they force me to play a male character. I also sometimes skip a game because it offers no real mage equivalent. I would have never bothered with "Mass Effect" without biotics. People just have different criteria. Certainly there are people who would consider my above examples ludicrous reasons to skip a game.

That's doesn't sound like it sucks at all. There are other good games coming out one can spend their money on, Shogun 2: Total War comes to mind.

Seriously, how can one ever think for a second that it's possible to make an enjoyable game without Arcane Warrior in it? Come to think of it, I should still go bomb BioWare, if only because of the previous games they made without AW. Yeah, I'll go do just that.
I understand your frustration, guys. My heart reaches out for you. Damn it all, BioWare, and bye-bye AW.
