I'm interested in how many people killed Wrex even when given the choice to save him, like myself.

Because really, it's a huge risk keeping him alive. The fate of his whole species, something which he cares about VERY deeply, is at stake here. He is deeply, deeply conflicted, and also a very powerful Krogan battlemaster. I sure as hell don't want him watching my back in a firefight, and I sure as hell can't leave him on the Normandy unsupervised. Killing him is the only safe option.

Did his personal mission out of a completionist impulse first time around so didn't know when he could die.
When I actually got around to ending him, was very disappointed at how easy he went down. I mean really? Shepard knocking him out with a single, sluggish strike?
And after all that fuss about krogan toughness...

Shepard was empowered.

Wrex was not.

I remember my very first playthrough I didn't have the courtesy of easily convincing Wrex out of our confrontation after getting his armour. Thankfully my Paragon was high enough and we went into a vocal battle with each other before he eased off. I'm proud to say I'm one of those who saved him first time.

I always level talking skills in games. Always. And as my first priority.

I ended up saving Wrex in my first playthrough. I didn't even know he could die until my bro told me that during his playthrough there was no paragon/renegade option. I guess I speced my skills wisely =)

First playthough he died, I did not put enough value on charm skills as in other RPG's I could always neglect these and just kick someone's teeth in. Unfortunately I paid the price and yes I was a little surprised.

No responses to this so far. I guess even then people realized Bioware would reward risk-taking Paragons <_<

First playthrough was renegade, so I shot him dead.

Currently on second as paragon, so I'll save him (especially since I'm using him on my 2nd playthrough, unlike the first)

I really enjoyed beating him down and killing him. I thought it was pretty funny how he was dragged off to the swamp. I missed him in ME2 though, as Wrex isn't vital, but its weird not having him there

I think I saved him in part because my Shepard was just as conflicted about the situation as he was...bloody genocidal Council races.
