I admit, I'm laughing at it, too. The speculation-mobile that gets going on game forums as the days to release get smaller is a barrel of never-ending fun. I spend more time just trawling through threads and laughing than I do posting.

Getting hyped months (or even a year) in advance of the game just makes the wait longer, in my experience. So I tend not to. Shale was a lot of fun so I'm sure whoever this charater is for this bonus will be nice as well. As to *who* it is, I'm content to wait until they reveal it. Or if they don't, I like running into people I didn't expect in my games. I can understand that some people do not appreciate that sort of 'surprise', though.

Wonderful! So it seems that was him in the party line-up picture earlier.

Sounds extremely interesting, even if I'm curious as to how many princes are wandering around Thedas after we had Alistair in our party in DA:O.  (Dispossessed nobles could even be said to be a theme after we played the two noble origins and Nathaniel joined us in Awakening.)

It's quite likely you do not run into him until you finish the Prologue, and by then (as we've been told), you'll be in the Free Marches. Since that's a collection of a lot of smaller countries/states/whatever, there's likely a lot more royalty running around there too.

And here I thought Hawke was all for taking power in his or her own right. :-D

Actually, this raises an issue (for me anyway). The video of Sebastian raises the matter of assassins - maybe the assassins who are taking out rulers like the qunari Hawke fought in the trailer. Something that bothered me right from the start (and I know this is probably silly for a trailer, as it doesn't have much time to show transitions) is that Hawke shows up immediately as the qunari is just killing the ruler. Hawke doesn't, oh, I don't know, try to stop him. Or help/heal the ruler. It's like he lets the qunari kill him and then kills the qunari so that he, Hawke, can take over. Don't imagine Sebastian would like that.
