RUmor has it it's a character similar to that of the elf in the making of video.

Yes, a rumor based on absolutely almost nothing.

The preorder character cut out on pre order page looks very similar

The ONLY similarity is the arm armor which is not valid evidence.  The female elf in the animation isn't a main character of any sort; she was created to showcase what the archer talents will be like.  I highly doubt the pre order character is the black eyed elf.

Why not?

I'm not saying the character isn't the elf because her eyes are black; I'm saying she's probably not the bonus toon because it's been stated that the animation she's part of was made to simply showcase the different classes and specs in the game.

I just hope it's someone like Shale and not someone like Zaeed. Someone you can interact with outside of their mission.

But I agree. I wish to know a little more about this character. I'd hate to find out the LE or CE has better items or something.

If it's not that then I guess I would want another female character.

That would be quite a marketing stunt, to sell  two additional faces and 4 in-game weapons as "20$ of extra content". Since SE is also Collector's.
I really hope it's an additional party member.

The preorder bonus is an incentive offered to early adopters. It is not a "trick." It presents you with an alternatively superior cost-benefit option at an increased level of risk. Take it or leave it.

I think the word superior is subjective. The SE is also the CE version, and as far as CE's go...(I have all Bio's CE's), its not a good value. I don't think that's all imho either. Not to mention the pc price at most places now including ea is about what I paid for the dao CE.

If rising costs require game prices to go up I am not against it but that isn't the case here.

If the soundtrack is not appealing to you, then why the heck are you interested in a signature edition anyway? Besides, the signature edition is practically free until January 11, so if you dont feel like you should pay $20 extra for an unknown character, PRE-ORDER IT BEFORE THE 11th.
