Shouldn't Bioware reveal something about "bonus character" before SE preorder expires?

But seriously people really need to just relax, hell pre-order bonuses tend to be forgotten for the most part anyway (well from my experience anyway all that extra gear and such tends to just end up clogging the inventory since better gear comes up soon anyway, besides why are you concerned about stuff that could make the game easier... go for the challenge.)

look at all the buzz it's generating. I've never pre-ordered a game but even I'm beginning to question whether or not I should...

Nevermind there are people with MBAs and graduate degrees in marketing and business who are authorities and professionals on how to market and distribute games globally to millions of customers.
Oh no, the EA/Bioware marketing team revolves around the whims of the BSN.

the exclusive character is extremely tempting ill admit, but it just doesnt seem right to spend loads of money on a game months before it comes out

She will only sleep with you only if you keep her morale low and keep treating her like a slave; eventually, she will stop bedding you when she realizes that her life has not improved under your leadership. She will realize that she has not gained any freedom if her morale is low, and she will eventually leave you to see the world (if she has been cured) or to find a cure on her own (if she has not been cured).
Of course, this is completely wrong. I just wish I was telling the truth.

I'm betting that the DLC character is Anders. it's obviously a mage based on the outline.
Considering Anders was my least favourite character in the whole DA series so far.
And yes, this is despite the fact I used him throughout the whole of Awakening.
No idea if this is true or not, but I am hoping it is:
Anyway, I guess we will just wait and see, i've already pre-ordered anyhow. (Didn't cost me anything to do so, I know I am going to get the game on release anyway... so why not?).Malevolence65 wrote...

That blew up a Qunari warship from the inside.
And when you do his mission you go after his former business partner at a dock. You have to choose between killing Raeed's nemesis or saving a bunch of dockworkers from the fires that started when Raeed recklessley shoots a flaming arrow into barrels of flamable stuff.

Which would then encourage them to either:Shinian2 wrote...
I really doubt the bonus character is an LI. This would mean anyone not getting the SE would be short one LI option.
a) Buy the standalone DLC when/if it comes out. - or -

-Develop a full game
-Take parts that are ready to retail and give them only to people who preorder
-Market as bonus content
This is a dishonest and sleazy way to sell products. I mean yes, you don't pay any different and it is the company's perogative to decide what is sold and included in the product but trying to trick the customer really?
Misinformation. The Stone Prisoner content wasn't ready in time for when the game went gold, so it was cut from the game and worked on after the fact as DLC.
Most on-release DLC is worked on by a secondary team parallel to development of the core game. Borderlands, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect 2 were all done this way, as I understand it.

You're forgetting the biggest part! The Crossbow he uses is older than we are and hasn't been used for years. One day, it just stopped firing... Just like that.

If they call it a "secret" character, it should remain that way until released. Although, I doubt that very much.

It's not about entitlement. It's not even about "free stuff". It's about limits of trust and being responsible consumer. I'll try to put it simple:
1. There's this pre-order, which costs just like a new game. It includes a bunch of ultimately useless stuff (all digital), and one shiny secret companion.
2. There's this customer (me), who knows enough of the game to be at "buy it when sale starts" stage.
3. There's this marketing team, which totes that one secret companion as being exclusive to pre-order. With Bioware's answers on a matter of availability of this character in DLC form later being as vague as possible.
But you see, this customer generally likes characters in Bioware games. So this one character might just make a difference between buying a game for a full price and buying an Ultimate Edition a year later on a sale.
Is it too much to ask what are you buying? I don't think so. And this is what this thread is about. Not whining about Biioware's DLC policies.or praising them.

The flaw in your logic is that you already know what your buying, your buying DA:2 and if you happen to buy it early (pre-order) you will get some extra FREE stuff for doing so. Your not paying any extra for the stuff, your paying the same price as if you waited to buy the game when it hits the stores.
So yeah it goes back to the "entitlement" issue.
