Hello, I just got the Ultimate edition of Dragon Age and I have (or at least I thought) everything set up. I managed to register the ultimate edition to my account and I can log in to the server at the main menu, however when I click to start a new game I get a message telling me that because I haven't logged in with an account that has registered certain parts of the game that the following won't appear. Then there's a list of names of different campaigns/storylines.

The problem is that some of the game it mentions in the list like "Return to Ostagar" and "Warden's Keep" (and others) are actually on the back of the ultimate edition saying they're included.

Is everything in the ultimate edition? and if so how do I register these extras? :S

check the downloadable content to check they are in the installed section if not you'll have to re-buy them seperately

I just checked the installed content part of the main menu and there's a tick beside everything and it say's "enabled" for everything but it also say's "unauthorized" for everything except Dragon Age: Awakening.

I bet it's something really simple I'm missing :S

edit: I had a look in the box and I "think" I might have found a code to make it all work.....sorry when I start worrying logic escapes me. :/

I have exactly this same problem, and ive put in the second code. my account here says that i have all the DLC ready to go. but the game tells me that the account isn't authorized to play those.... this is kind getting to me as all i want to do is play the game in all its goodness...

Did you get this from steam? This seems to be a pattern with steam copies

This is stupid, the downloadable content if it is included with the steam purchase should be accessible without any of this bull****. Fallout 3 GOTY Edition does it just fine and isnt freaked out about piracy to have to worry about having to access content from a online account. Secondly, the steam purchase says nothing about requiring access to an online account to make available the downloadable content. My content is unauthorized Im assuming because I didnt enter the right redeeming code. The only one I got was the DLC cd-key, so go figure.

I have the same problem Ive just bought the ultimate edition from steam, I have installed in the content via the DA content updater, its all installed but unauthorized. I am unsure about how to fix this... I have even followed the steps that was posted by a bioware representative.

Same here.. even after putting the code in it and it gets accepted.. then still it's impossible to acces the content and it continues to say it's unauthorized..

Found this reply in another thread that fixed my problem

Got Dragon Age Ultimate from steam it didn't work at first either.

But got it to work and wanted to clear some things up.

Got 2 CD keys one for the Ultimate edition and one for all the DLCs with it

Make sure Dragon Age is closed and not open

The Ultimate edition key is entered on this site under Profile > Registered games and put code with the correct platform that you have. try with dashes at first, (worked for me) if not try without it.

For the DLCs to work enter that second key under Profile > Redeem Promo code enter it in there and without dashes as when i did it with dash no dice!

Start up the game and check your downloaded content and it "might" say unauthorized, mine did but gave it a minute and tab over to buy then back and it cleared up. i suspect all it needed was time to check to the DA servers idk. hope this helps.

Also just some FYI used this on a windows 7 64 bit system

----For Steam buyers this worked for me so here it is from another thread----.

For everyone who is having problems with the DLC on the ultimate edition - I have the answer. I was told what to do by a friend of mine who had the same problem and his worked straight away, didn't thing the same would work for me but gave it a try anyway.

hopefully it will work for everyone else too.

find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.

C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Program Files \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Steam \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ steamapps \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ common \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ dragon age ultimate edition

once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom, once in there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam, when both have finished start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working.

I'll think I'll just ask a refund or smth as this is just unacceptable when u buy a game

same here, i was really looking forward to play this game, but if they can't even bother to fix this (seems like an old problem according to the many older topics) it just seems like the developers don't care and are just greedy bastards selling a buggy product.

Trinsic's post helped for me, once I put the second code into Redeem promo code it unlocked all the extra content. Thanks!

Had to do it a couple of times, but got it to work in the end. Don't know if it made a difference or not, but the time it worked i had it set to automatically log me in when i started the game, whereas the other times i didn't, and the content didn't authorise

This was really simple, but all I did was click the box that said "always log me in", and it fixed the problem.

The method trinsic1 posted worked for me with the Steam Ultimate Edition. It appeared that it didn't at first after loading the game back up as everything was still showing unauthorized. But switching over to another tab like Available Content and then back did the trick. Took it a minute or two to think about it though.

Go to the menu in the upper left, under your picture, and select Profile then "Redeem Promo Code".
