To be honest, neither one. I don't think either one is all that attractive to be blunt. Bethany is the only pretty female on Hawke's team thus far, and she's his/her sister. I hope we get one more female LI.

I for one look forward to how fast I can bed Isabela (knowing her, you can probably do it right of the bat). Aveline is quite manly looking but eh....I'll give her a chance if I like her personality, she is a red head after all. Of course, we don't even know if Aveline is a LI, I wouldn't be surprise if she turned out to not be rommanceable and some other female showed up.

 DA:O I picked Leliana. She was the perfect combo of Red Hair, sexy accent, and sweet personality that was irresistible.

Of course, I always wished Isabela was a companion and lo and behold, dreams do come true.

Between the two, I'd have to say Aveline. Isabella was amusing in DA:O, but the reskin took just about any motivation to pursue that romance path and trod upon it with cleats. Seriously, I know it's shallow of me, but whoever was responsible for her character design should be taken out back and shot. I don't find it appealing in the least.

Personality is the most decisive factor, but my male Hawke will probably go more for Isabela, because at the moment, she looks more fun.

I'm not sure that it has anything to do with roleplaying. Call it Kirk/Zapp Brannigan syndrome. It's a very pulp phenomenon. Exploring new worlds, meeting new cultures/lifeforms... and copulating with them. Beautifully  (or hideously) lampshaded in Galaxy Quest. Ugh, the tentacles....
