Aveline isn't a looker,But at least i don't have to worry about catching anything.
Although Aveline has a dead husband which is a majior turn off as well as she isn't much of a looker.

At this point I wouldn't be disappointed with either of them as the F/F romance.

I hope the companions who haven't been reveled yet (if they are LI's)  will be more interesting. Scantily-clad easy to get cliché pirate ninja Isabela & clichè hardarse fighter Aveline seem to be utterly bo*yawns*ring standard RPG characters .
I know fantasy games have to be full of clichés, but IMO its a bit too much in the DA2 character department. Some out-of-the-box-thinking wouldn't hurt.

I hope for an original unexpected and surprising character.

The only good female companion in DAO was Shale. The rest were all insufferable after the second play through. DAA had a better selection but you didn't really get the time to know them.

Yeah, I don't know enough about Aveline so I'll assume I'll end up liking her (I like most of the BioWare characters, after all) even if I'm getting a Jaheira vibe this early on (largely no reason for it, I just have it)...



Isabela is going to have to pull a Jack on me to get me to like her. It's not impossible, but I'm also not really inclined to give her the chance. Jack was forced on you in ME2 (more or less) so I had to talk to her and such.



Even if I end up liking her personality (I highly doubt it) I can't see myself...

ugh, ok, if I role-play, and I'm pretending to be an MC with very different tastes than my own, well,...



still probably not.



Hopefully there's some unseen option out there - a female mage option, perhaps?

I'm doubting we will be seeing any more females other than the preorder character who i doubt is a romance.
There's a shirt or something supposably of Hawkes full crew outline of 7 and only 3 females are on it
THere's also the screenshot which is supposibly spos to have the full crew and Isabella and Aveline are the only two non family females in the shot.
