I think I'm currently swaying towards Aveline, should she be revealed to be a LI. Which I must admit I'm not convinced about.

I would choose Aveline. Her story seems much darker, particularly with her losing her husband. Plus I like her athletic build and think she's very attractive. I have a soft spot for redheads, even if they are typically "fiery.  I also like the fact that Aveline is a warrior.  It would make for an interesting bond with a male Hawke, particularly if I'm playing a rogue or a mage because she'd be protecting me.

David has confirmed that Aveline would hurt someone macking on her love interest. I think Isabela would keep a wide berth.

We know she's not all that fond of Varric as his 'job' is sitting around all day doing little. We know she's blunt spoken, protective, and physical.

I don't think she'd pin Fenris down to give to fan girls. I do think she'd grab Fenris, wrestle him down, and hold him still if the occasion called for it, which isn't something Isabela, Leliana, or Morrigan would do.

In the Pearl, if you have a LI with you who objects, she apologizes and says she had enough enemies without adding to the list.

I don't think she realizes Hawke is the protagonist and thus the best catch, and so would go for someone without strings attached.

I dunno about that......timing might have a lot to do with her perception of hawke

Don't know why but think things would get even more interesting if Aveline took interest in Isabela, instead of Hawke... and made the move first, too.

edit: though i suppose it'd be more likely for Isabela to take interest in Aveline? bit tricky.
