I love it that we won't have to be these cliche orphans right off the bat. I hope we can observe our family in evolution as we'll see our Hawke during this 10 year storyline spam.

This family aspect is incredibly intriguing and compelling. Fresh and deep at the same time. I really think they should mention this more to the PR-group, some of which still only seem to speak of awesome buttons and spartan generals.

: One of my long term goals for the Dragon Age franchise is to have it be one of those fantasy IPs that's up there with Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter...
So Harry Potter, huh. I could side with the templars and siege Hogwarts. Maybe not so bad after all.

The long term goals are interesting but I feel that The Witcher has a better chance at this that DA.
