A yes a weapons master, I find it annoying that Rogues get dual weapons & archery, when this practices took years & years to develop compared to simply using standard weapons

I found it annoying that mages could learn shapeshifting over the course of an afternoon, when in real life it takes decades of practice to perfect the art.

Yes, but it's possible that they had werewolf or other shifter in their bloodline. If you look at cultures that have significant therianthropy in their history - your Swedish Norsemen, your ethnic Vlachs, and certain lines of Ethiopians – you'll see mages who adopt shapeshifting with astounding speed and even mages naturally picking it up during puberty.

The longbows found on the mary rose had some amazing prod on them, and the skeletons of the yeomanry who wielded them were almost deformed because of the constant practise and massive strength they needed, strange that the middle classes were born from such men of iron. Still any jack can aim and pull a crossbow or arquebus trigger.
Should the class be renamed to soldier?

What would be the point? You already have the ability to block a blow & return it in kind.

& that is the reason crossbows have been a long standing weapon for rogues.

A Death blow riposte.
Like this, Watch. Now you tell me that wouldn't be a good thing to introduce in the new battlestyle.

A riposte is a counter attack, you are asking for a death blow animation. There's a difference.

I'm asking for a deathblow brought on by the riposte. Simply a riposte deathblow. I don't think there's a difference asking for a deathblow counter attack.

How about them apples, i've no idea what that means but it's got me chuckling.

Reminds me of severance, a great game but not an rpg or dragon age.

Well I consider rogues and warriors borrowing from the same area of expertise but...

Warriors are well disciplined soldiers trained in the use of all sorts of weapons and the heaviest of armour. A sense of honour and code of conduct is enforced to produce an indominatable spirit. That is not to say that warriors are incapable of thinking outside the box but rogues are trained to think outside the box whereas warriors are trained to be a really big strong box.

I think specializations for warriors should flow towards sword/board tank defender with abilities to draw in tons of attention, take damage and be able tocontrol and interrupt enemies.

A two handed juggernaut along the same lines as Conan or Guts, they make large sweeping attacks and are great at taking out clumps.

Then you have the champion, a warrior with tactics and war cries to improve the abilities of fellow teammates.

Ha, We english say it all the time. Sadly none of us known what it means, but we always seem to say when it's most relevant... weird.

But I digress.

That's fine, a bit off-topic but fine none-the-less

Seems that some people want the same old, tired class types that almost every other game has had. How unoriginal and cliche'.

I would say that dropping classes and going with a points based system would be best, that way you could manage your character exactly how you want.

My problem with being a Rogue is that they use underhanded attacks & are largely used as sneak-thieves & assassin/ninjas, I do not like this one bit & don't want to play one, my only other option is to play a warrior, which is mostly a tank... I don't yet where people get it into their head that warriors are slow & stupid.

By virtue of not being the fast or smart archetype.

A warrior isn't slow or stupid... but a tank is. A tank is a sack of meat that soaks up all the attacks and deals barely anything in return (for balance purpose). There's a reason tanks are sometimes called mage meatshields.

What class would you say is the strong/fast type. I would hesitate to call smart/fast an archetype

I'm english (well yorkshireman) and i've never heard that, learn something new every day I suppose.

Does seem that the devs are making warriors into soldiers but that seems a bit off to me, an ash warrior isn't a rogue but he damn sure isn't a disciplined front liner with a sword and shield either.

I know, I wish we could break away from the trinity of Tank-DPS-Heal, but people seem dumb enough to continue using it.

Please don't be pedantic, & answer my question. What class would a Strong & Fast person be?

That's not being pedantic at all. It changes the nature of my statement to one that completely negates the premise of your question.

How does a warrior not fit a fast archetype, when there are marial artist & swashbucklers? (not the pirate kind)

How does a warrior not fit a smart archetype when you have men like Eisenhower & Patton or Alexander the Great?
