From what I can tell, all the bugs and glitches have been fixed. Female eyebrows work, there were two or three things that weren't there in the PC version, shadows and faces look much better. Graphics look a bit better also.

You play Lazarus Station and Mordins recruitment, and you also get a brief summary of Mass Effect 1, narrated (with new dialogue) by the Illusive Man.

I never played a Demo version of ME and I will borrow my friend's PS3 today to see How mass effect is, do we can choose the class we want or is just one class? also, what lvl we start?

You start at level 1 of course. And you can choose which class you want. The entire character creation is present.

The graphics definitely look brighter, (although a bit too bright by default for my taste, so I had to adjust the settings) and sharper. The facial animations and lip syncing also look better, and Miranda has GREATLY benefited from this!

Also, the Framerate seems faster... (60FPS?)

I'll be preordering my copy soon, probably sometime after Christmas. (Making this my 3rd copy of the game)

So, Bioware extended the demo? I remember the PC Demo ending after the Lazarus Station. Not sure on the 360 Demo since I never downloaded it.

The PC demo included Jack's recruitment.

And FYI, there's a thread in the News & Announcements forum on the demo, currently 13 pages so it's plenty active.

I'm glad Mass Effect will now be getting an influx of new fans. This is good for us all and everyone should be able to experience this awesome series. I hope Bioware can port the PS3 improvements to PC as a patch or even paid DLC. Anything that adds to the ME experience I will gladly buy.

The demo was...OK, but I experienced these a lot:

-Screen tearing

-Poor quality FMV sequences

-Framerate dips when many NPCs on screen

I was disappointed. But it played the same, and the 360 version seems to have better lighting in many areas, but the PS3 version looks brighter.

Sadly, the graphics are a bit worse compared to 360, even running with the ME3 engine?

Holy blurry bloom batman!

Edit: actually I'm not sure it's the bloom that's the "problem". Lighting definitely looks very different in this new engine. Less dramatic... but more natural perhaps? Be interesting to see how ME3 looks when it's done.

Its funny the PS3 fanboys are all saying that those images are fake and point to the IGN video. On the IGN video the 360 fans are saying its fake. Meanwhile we PC fans grin and laugh at the rage.

I'm not surprised if the 360 version looks better. When has a multiplat game ever looked better on PS3? PS3 is just an overpriced blueray player with some decent exclusives Sony grabbed up.

I know. Personally I think the 360 definitely looks better. Looked better in gameplay too, I had the PSN demo set up and the 360 version set up on the same TV, different HDMI channels, and it looked a little better to me.

I don't care what anyone else says, I play the game regularly on my 360 and in the IGN video it was exceedingly blurry and washed out. Jacob's face looked like playdough.

It looks crisp and sharp on my TV (Bravia 32" 720p).

Its obvious IGN played the 360 version on a worse TV in order to sell the PS3 version. Gameblurb has no reason to lie.

Tried it. PC version is superior by far, but that's to be expected. Noticed some low frame rates and occasional tearing. I'm almost tempted to download the 360 demo and compare.

Someone help me lol, I don't understand much of PS3, ok I created US acc but now I tryed to log in and it says I can't log in with another acc (and is not a country problem cause I tryed with another Portuguese account and says the same)

Did you create a new profile (not the account as in a new profile)? or are you using the same profile and tried logging in there?

lol tnx mate, I didn't knew that xD, x360 is so much easier to understand.

Both versions are fine, ps3 seems well made though it doesn't seem superior enough to spend another 60 bucks, (well aside from not needing to swap disks, that's somewhat tempting).

Me2 is great regardless of platform. If anything this makes me curious of how me3 runs on each system. We see the engine on the ps3 vis the me2 port. I wonder how it runs on the 360

Well from this sh*tty port, the year old ME2 engine is better than the 2011 ME3 engine surprisingly

That's cos we are.
For example, most of us know how to spell "they're".

Nope, Genesis is Cerberus Network only.

While the 360 version looks better, the PS3 version has smoother shadows. just look at the screenshot with Shepard on the operating table. The shadows have been bugging me since the first game so I'm glad they got that fixed.
