I think Andar means both sequels have s/s in both camps.

Yeah. Although, I'll admit I said game's i've played, and I haven't played Jade Empire.

Seems like I'd get tears either way. This thought pleases me.

As a straight male who doesn't "get" the appeal lesbians have to other straight males - it's not as if those women have any such use for us, at least in an equivalent sense - I can't say I get that either.
If I can't picture myself in the relationship, I can't imagine how it applies to me.

s/s seems tolerated in the DA universe, more so than the real world. Wade & Heron are posterboys for flaming fruit pride.
Maybe not among the Qunari, considering their very strict belief system.

Why do people say this? What makes them stand-out as an s/s couple?

I just never saw it that way. To me, it looked like Wade was a crafter oblivious to the business side of things and Heren kept him in business by actually charging for the goods he made.

Oh, I know they're a couple. What I just meant was I never saw anything to make me go ''Oh, they're totally toghether'' and I just was curious what other people saw that tipped them off.

They are incredibly out there and adorable, without being over the top. You may not have seen it because those relationships typically aren't portrayed in videogames or the media in general unless they are mocking them.

I wouldn't have seen a relationship if either was of the opposite gender either. To me it looked it it was just a business relationship.

With Varric narrating how could there not be s/s relationships, female Hawke probably has more female options than male Hawke and infinitely more all girl shower scenes. I could totally see a recreation of that classic Road trip scene with Varric, Cassandra, and a random templar dude as Tom Green, the girl who calls BS on his story, and that other guy.
