The IGN demo footage showed a comparison to the 360 in which the PS3 had a better framerate, and detail seemed to be pretty on par with the older versions, with some lighting changes.

EDIT: Looking back, some of the textures are lower resolution, but not in a too-noticable way, in my opinion. The most important thing to me is that the framerate is completely different, as shown by both IGN and the link you gave, Rebel.

I have in full confidence belive that the 360 version in the IGN comparison was using a worst TV because I played the demo on PS3 and the 360 version and the 360 version was not that bad.

True, though that demo has me wondering something. I am looking at the link the Rebel posted, and the demo from IGN. In Rebel's link, they show a video that demostrates framerate. In it, they do the same scene as the demo from IGN. The two versions look different, Jacob in the IGN version is shinier, and complexion is slightly different, while in the other, Jacob looks the same in both versions. Assuming both are being truthful about the comparisons, I draw a couple of different conclusions:

A. The demo version has reduced graphics from the game on a disc, because they needed to make the demo take up less memory. IGN might have used the disc, while these other websites used the demo.
B. There is a difference in the televisions used, of course, or there are some changes to what settings/version is being used.
C. One is incorrect.

I would wait until we have our hands on it, personally.

I just wonder how Bioware reacts to all this. If the majority of the people were mixed in their reaction of the demo than Bioware could keep quiet but from all the comments sections and forums I've visited, people seem to be very "outspoken" about how the PS3 version is inferior.

I'd love to hear what they have to say about this fiasco.

Exactly, I hope they're reading this at least. If this is how the game turns out to be. Then Bioware has left one PS3 gamer angry and they'll turn out just like Activision

Hmm. What to say? As the 360 fanboy I am, I was bitter about the PS3 getting the better version. Well, seems like its not that easy.

Has me somewhat worried considering this is how the ME3 may look like.

Well, there are differences according to the system. The PC and the 360 have differences, too; in ME3, the 360 version will probably be different than the PS3 version.

Thank you, at least i'm not the only one. I'm hoping people will message the Bioware developers about this and that they can read this. Do any of you guys happen to know Bioware devs that comment here other than jesse houston? I need to start messaging the whole ME developers about the sh*tty port :pinched:

Its not a sh*tty port, calm the hell down! Its pretty much identical with some technical differences that can be considered improvements. Be grateful that you're getting the opportunity to experience ME on your chosen platform. The rest of us have had to suffer with no DLC releases because of this.

You guys still have all of the DLCs; not exclusive too. PS3 gamers have to suffer with a port that Bioware themselves said that it'll run and look better. Thats why it' getting bad now. It's bad, especially how this is the "ME3 engine"

I always assumed that Bioware has a different team doing DLC and porting, because that's usually the case when it comes to porting. And just my 2 cents but the "because they were porting it to PS3 they had to not make DLC" argument is something I dislike because none of us here know what's going on inside Bioware and they may have a teanm specifically assigned for DLC.
The argument just reminds me of the peole saying that whole "thanks PS3 now ME3 will release on 2013-2014".

It's really sad how Bioware does this to their PS3 fans. Lying and getting their hopes for the better version, and all of a sudden, the comparisons come out and PS3 version looks utter sh*t

Rebel21, calm the hell down!  This is just a demo.  Anyways, your complaint basically amounts to:

"It doesn't look any better than ME2 on the 360"

How does that make it a "sh**ty" port?  I would think it's a good thing that there is no major disadvantage!

It's not BioWare's fault that they didn't surpass the 360 version.  The analysis on DigitalFoundry repeatedly stated that the Unreal Engine tends to favor the 360 over the PS3 for all games.  Calm down and stop throwing a tantrum that your favorite console doesn't have any better graphics with this game over its rival.

Really? I guess that is why we can't have nice things.

I just played the demo twice. Looked great to me, I really dont understand why everyone is freaking out over some screen shots. the game looks and runs great. screen shots always make a game look worse, i looked at them both, in some 360 looks better in others ps3. I am just happy i am getting the damn game

"I would wait until we have our hands on it, personally." That about sums up my thought as well, to really get a full idea of what the full version is going to look like, we'll have to wait until the official release. I have both a PC and ps3, owning the pc version at the moment.

I don't really feel cheated like some others may have - It was a fantastic game when I played it, and still play it too. There's more to the bloody game than how it looks, thought obviously a video game is going to weigh heavily on presentation - I do agree that the vast majority of those slider screenshots make a compelling argument on which really looks sharper and better, but my point is wait and see, THEN we can make a sound judgement and stop having all these console wars over one game.

SSV Enterprise, again, the fact that Bioware themselves said that it'll run and look better still means a lot. unreal engine favored the PS3 when it was Dragon Age just like how Bioware said it was going to. They said it for ME2 for PS3 and look what happened!

Jesuno, you guys do have the better things, which should make you guys happy. While you guys are playing the better version, were stuck playing a version that Bioware said was going to run and look better. Lies from the devs, just for sales!

Congrats for you then. My point is, that Bioware lied to us saying that it'll run better and look better/more detail on PS3. It's all BS for money and marketing I guess

Ok fine, rant about how the game doesn't live up to the promises the BioWare devs made when trying to sell the game.  That doesn't make the game itself any worse than it is on the 360, which is really good, no matter what it is compared to.  (Except LA Noire)

You're right. People are connecting the lack of DLC lately with the release of the PS3 version when there might be no connection.
