Jesuno, you guys do have the better things, which should make you guys happy. While you guys are playing the better version, were stuck playing a version that Bioware said was going to run and look better. Lies from the devs, just for sales!

Funny, I am buying it on PS3.

Congrats for you then. My point is, that Bioware lied to us saying that it'll run better and look better/more detail on PS3. It's all BS for money and marketing I guess

And this is what I am talking about, all you are doing is reinforcing fanboy stereo types. The lighting looks better in the PS3 version, plus I don't remember Shep being so pale on my TV. Instead of being happy that Bioware is branching out to other consoles instead of staying exclusive to Microsoft, you are complaining.

EDIT: Plus, if you feel so unjustly taken advantage of, then you can always speak with your wallet.

I always assumed that Bioware has a different team doing DLC and porting, because that's usually the case when it comes to porting. And just my 2 cents but the "because they were porting it to PS3 they had to not make DLC" argument is something I dislike because none of us here know what's going on inside Bioware and they may have a teanm specifically assigned for DLC.
The argument just reminds me of the peole saying that whole "thanks PS3 now ME3 will release on 2013-2014".

No. I'm not saying its taking up development time, I'm saying Bioware is deliberately delaying or not working on new DLC in order to release it after the PS3 release so they can charge them for it as well. Otherwise if they release DLC before the PS3 release then PS3 players will expect it for free on the disc.

I really dont give two sh*ts if stayed 360 exclusive. I'm just tired of developers pulling lies to the PS3 gamers. They should have just said that it gets free DLC :|

Dragon Age doesn't use the Unreal engine.

What engine then and how come Bioware did a better job than the 360. How about unreal Tournament 3, how come it was better on the PS3 than 360?

As far as I'm experienced with PS3, demo ALWAYS represented the final product, always. Each time anything wrong was noticed in any demo, it was never fixed on release. That's the sad truth unfortunatetly.
I played the demo, it looked good overall. It's true the textures are not as good as PC/360, but the shadows are really better. It's a matter of taste actually. It might not look very esthetical, but to me, the more shadows the better.

I think actually the PS3 version has its own good and bad sides, it's not totally inferior to the 360. That said, PC is still the ultimate experience.

Dragon Age uses BioWare's own Eclipse engine, totally separate from Unreal engine and more related to BioWare's older Odyssey and Aurora engines used on Knights of the Old Republic and Neverwinter Nights, respectively.

You really think so? I'd  rather have better detail than better shadow. So stupid of Bioware

Because Epic wanted to show devs that it's not the engine that has problems with the PS3 it's how the devs use it?

Epic since they are the creators of UE3 had to show it can be done but since it still hasn't been seen through most games (with the PS3 version tend to be the lesser) CLiffy B has decided to reiterate that it's up to them to show that the Unreal Engine is capable of making solid PS3 titles through Bulletstorm.

You're right. People are connecting the lack of DLC lately with the release of the PS3 version when there might be no connection.

I'm of the belief that there is a connection, but I don't think it's "we have nobody to work on DLC, coz they're all busy with the PS3 version," I think it's more a case of "we're not releasing any more DLC yet so that when the PS3 version comes out it has all the DLC to date".  I don't grudge this in the least.  Maybe that's coz I won't be able to buy any MS points til after Christmas.

As for the PS3 version looking inferior - I'm gonna be honest, I'm in two minds about this.  I feel sorry for the PS3 fans who were looking forward to having an improved version of an already stunning looking game.  I'm also glad that newcomers to the franchise aren't gonna have any advantages over those of us who have supported it since day one.

For those who are worrying that the ME3 version of the game engine will look inferior to the ME2 version when ME3 hits next year, try thinking of it like this - would there have been an even bigger difference in graphics quality if the PS3 version of ME2 had used the same version of the engine as the 360 version?  It kinda suggests that even with the latest tweaks, the PS3 struggles with the Unreal Engine 3, but if the 360 doesn't have these problems then just how fantastic is ME3 gonna look?  Answer: - lots.  And for the PS3 fans, ME3 is a year away.  This gives Bioware another year of tweaking the wrinkles.  Think of this as a way to identify problems before making the port of ME3.  I have a feeling the PS3 version of ME3 will be closer to the 360 version than than was the case with ME2...

Its stupid of Bioware saying that the ME3 on PS3 is better on 360 when the ME2 engine on 360 looks better. Bioware you guys are really messin up :\\

yeah i know rebel. but see how ****ty the 360 looks compared to ps3 in that screen. now if you compare that to the links you posted you will see that that website shows the ps3 version to be worse then what that screen shows. I understand where you are coming from, i only own a ps3 and to me from what i have played of the demo it ran flawlessly and looked pretty damn good. I have always known that ps3 owners have always gotten the short side of the stick when it comes to multi plat games, bayonetta, but that is only because developers are to lazy to work with the ps3 and just use the excuse that its to complicated. if you think that bioware lied than why would they come out and say this when its already almost been a year since ME 2 came out on 360 and PC. Bioware is a better than that. better than what valve did when the ps3 first came out

Because we'd probably get more DLC the sooner it is released. There is only 10 months or so of time in which ME2 DLC can be released and the longer we have to wait for new DLC, the less DLC we will get. Bioware won't release a bunch of DLC in one go as it will hurt their own sales as they can't build up the hype individually for each installment and the DLCs would be competing with each other.

PS3 Fanboy: Wow, not only did we get your best exclusive, but it is running the ME3 engine and it has better graphics, IGN says so.. Everything thy say is right. PLus, we get all that DLC you paid for for free!!! NO disk swapping!!! We also get the EXCLUSIVE interactive comic. Suck on that Xbots!!! ME2 will be the best game evarrrrrrrrrr

Xbot: I hate you bioware!!! You betrayed us! I will never buy another bioware product again. Me2 on PS3 should look inferior like all the other multiplatform games! And what do wwe get for being loyal? NOTHING. You give PS3 fans the interactive comic!!!! We only have ME1... a full game.

This Week...

PS3 Fanboy: Wait...?!?!? 360 users are getting the interactive comic? It is not PS3 exclusive?!? THe graphics on the PS3 version are not better? IGN you lied!!!!! Bioware you lied!!!!!!! I am cancelling my ME2 pre-order and saving it for Killzone 3 instead. *sob*. It will be the best game evarrrrrr..... *sob* *snif*. Just like GT5.... *sob*. Oh wait, GT5 was a big let down.... biggest evarrrrrrrr........

At least I won't havew to swap My ME2 disk once during 20+ hours of gameplay. My PS3 only.... does... everything. *sob*

With regards DLC, there was 3 months between Overlord and LotSB. They announced LotSB 1 month after Overlord and then the fans went nuts for the next 2. Somehow I think the reason we ain't heard about any DLC is because of this. Yes it could be connected to the PS3 versions release, but considering what we got coming towards us in ME3, I got a feeling at least one of the next DLC will be even better than LotSB for bridging purposes and so that why it might be taking longer.

As for the look of the game, meh, I am getting the game for the game, I couldn't give a monkeys which version looks better. Anyone that buys a game solely for that reason is IMHO buying it for the wrong reason

When it's coming from the developer's mouth, sure is a big damn deal. It just shows that they are turning out like BObby Kotick aka activision. Terrible way to lie to the PS3 gamers.
