Oh, devs are watching this? I didn't notice any graphic issues, but I did have a hell of a time controlling Shep and getting through menus. Left, what left?

THE CONSOLE WARS NEED TO STOP

This forum is NOT for Xbox 360 fans, or PC fans, or PS3 fans to say "I am cooler than you because I use "X" and you don't". If you cannot keep your narrowminded platform bigotry to yourself, you will not be posting here.

QFT.

I think we can all agree with this. Except for Rebel. He's a zealot. Zealot's are never fun or informative.

Now come on...

I agree that they are very silly... especially if you are a moderator, but you have to admit that even Bioware uses console wars to it's advantage to build hype, sell games, and make money.

The reveal for ME2 on PS3... all that drama to say that it was coming out on PS3.  The console fanboy fallout made that announcment go viral.  And how about the early IGN exclusive preview of ME2 on PS3 that had IGN hyping that ME2 on the ME3 engine for PS3 looked better than the 360 version... especially side by side.  Why no mention that the PC version has always been the best version?  Now that the actual demo is out, things look to be more at par.  Was that marketing?  Did Bioware recriut IGN to help spark some console wars fire all in the name of building hype and publicity?

N4G is now flooded with ME2 PS3 vs 360 comparison articles that are creating a lot of user traffic... all pointing a finger at IGN.  TRANSLATION: Hype and free advertising.  Flame the console war fire, and Bioware wins.

100% agree with this.  I'm sure most of us can say that we've seen interviews with BioWare staff claiming that the PS3 version of ME2 is the 'definitive' version.  Nobody to blame but themselves when this crap starts.  And it is crap.

Exactly. Too bad this "bioware developer" is not going to respond to our comments because he can't proove why the PS3 is the "definitive version." It's Just PR talk to make money from PS3 gamers, just like evil Bobby Kotick (activision).

Just face it guys Xbox 360 Me2>Ps3 ME2 and yes Bioware you are the very reason why us xboxers are fighting these newbie ps3 dudes that think they Know It All.That whole PS3 has the Definitive version of a once exclusive xbox/PC game aint nothing to joke about because both the 360 heads and PC heads are the ones that gave yall the money to release a PS3 version.

I suppose you should stop posting then. Considering in your videos you were touting how the PS3 version was better and the definitive version. You even went so far as to bring up disc swapping which was a not so subtle jab at 360 users.

If you don't want console wars look in the mirror. Your statements have started quite a few of them.

Ouch touché.

its not provoking a console war if you are using facts. the ps3 version has improved graphics, all previously released dlc and the full game all on ONE blu-ray disk. im going to get alot of hate for this comment, but its the truth. the ps3 version of mass effect 2 is going to be the definitive version....well the pc will always have better graphics than the consoles and only has to switch disks on instillation but to make a long story short, STFU you freaking console fanboys.

Don't care for console wars, but I agree with some posters on this thread... BioWare didn't do themselves any favors by saying the PS3 was the definitive version. They basically alienated the group of consumers who helped ME be as successful as it currently is, but I understand why they did it. They intentionally flamed the console war fires for marketing reasons.

I guess it's how you define definitive though ... let's see, the online definition is as follows: "most reliable, complete, or authoritative"...

Is the PS3 version the most reliable? Don't know, haven't played it, maybe it is.

Is it the most authoritative? I'm just going to say in this case authoritative refers to graphics... and some people say yes, some no... but I find it hard to believe the PC graphics can be reckoned with.

Is it the most complete? Yes, out of the box it has all DLC, but PC and 360 users also have access to all that DLC, so... I guess upon purchase it is. But IMO and most others, complete should incorporate the entire ME experience, which the PS3 doesn't have.

All in all, who cares? The graphics for all 3 are pretty similar... it's not like you'll miss something on one platform from another... the story is the same. So... whatever, as long as you can play it, that's all that matters.

This is a common complaint among PS3 users. Go to any ME2 related PS3 topic and you will see similar complaints in regards to screen tearing and frame rate drops. It may be a firmware issue or it could simply need patching.

There is a difference between console waring and console debating. When an exclusive game goes to a competitors platform there is bound to be people taking sides. It can definitely get out of hand, however discussing which version of the game is better includes discussing which console is better. What makes the "waring" even worse, is the fact that there is such a tremendous difference between the versions of the game.

Asking for console wars to stop on the internet is like telling people to stop buying stupid crap just because it has the apple logo on it.

Other way around. It's bioware's fault for lying to the gamers

And for saying it's "definitive" when it's really not when compared to 360 side by side

*thinks about mentioning the fact that we're all probably sitting at computers superior to either system making this whole thread derailment seem like a mostly one-sided fight for second place... remembers it doesn't care, posts anyway*

I don't really care what the best edition is, the fact is there are a lot of people out there with only one system, Some I know, and I really want them to play this game, which I thought was great (even missing some of the rpg elements of the first one).

Sorry, but this thread has turned into platform wars and name-calling, which is not permitted in our community. If you wish to continue the discussion without the nastiness, please restart the thread. Thank you.

End of line.
