But this all depends on the particular Shepard I'm playing at that time. Roleplaying introduces some variation.

Virmire ties beautifully into the end game. Do yourself a favour and leave Virmire last. The first 3 missions can be done at any time, but always do Virmire last.

Playing it after Virmire is a bit of an anticlimax.

Liara's Dig Site
Noveria
Feros
Virmire
i know in a way noveria should be the other way round to feros but to get the best ending (in relation to paragon/renegade points) i need time to get my skill level up

How on earth is Feros harder than Noveria?caradoc2000 wrote...
I always do in the increasing order of difficulty: Therum-Noveria-Feros-Virmire.
Anyway, I'd definitely say Noveria. Noveria's a really good place to start putting a lot of skill points towards charm or intimidate... which you'll need.

I always do Noveria last because of Benezia's comment in regards to sending Saren the coordinates to the Mu Relay. In my opinion, after he used the Eden Prime beacon and obtained the cipher, the Mu Relay was the only part of the puzzle that he needed. It doesn't make sense to me that he would be sitting on that information once he got it.
I do the same

Admittedly, I had not considered Pacifien theory in regards to the Mu Relay. I would surmise Saren sought to build a Krogan army and test the effects of indoctrination prior to utilizing it. The former is evident due to the sheer overwhelming power that would be upon his beckon and the latter he freely concedes to as it is his unfortunately belief Soveriegn does not hold completely control over him.
I use to do Noveria first or second for the morality glitch but from a story perspective. I have found it somewhat out of sync, especially since you miss dialogue with Shiala. Such is another reason why I leave Virmire last. Confronting Saren and the inevitable loss of potentially Wrex and whomever is left behind feel as though the end is near.

I'd suggest otherwise, do Therum last on at least one play through.

Good point. Bioware should have made Virmire unlockable once you did the others, cause I forgot about that comment. That is news you would not sit on, for sure

You need to max out your charm to resolve the situation with the ExoGeni exec peacefully. You can easily just shoot the guy in the head, but watching my Shepard fast-talk him so expertly is worth the effort. Saving Feros for last gives you just enough points to put into Charm to do it.Aidoru Kami wrote...

(I hadn't realized how exacting it was until one play-through I couldn't choose the persuasion and discovered I was one point shy of having enough Charm to do it.)

Don't do Feros first. There's a Paragon/Renegade check that requires a boatload invested in Charm/Intimidate - the most in the game, I believe. You won't be able to do that if it's the first mission you do. It's even questionable if it's the second mission you do. (I've never been able to get it done as a second mission.)
I like: Therum, Noveria, Feros, Virmire.
