If I end up not caring much for the game at all, the extra squad member won't make much difference, so I'd rather get the full game at discount and then order the DLC content separately if it seems worth it.
Thats the thing for me- with Origins, I bought a good chunk of the DLC and Awakening, yet with ME2, despite liking the game well enough, haven't bothered with the DLC as I just don't care too much about the characters to the extent I do in DA.

I would be tempted to say you're missing out on some spectacular execution (largely Lair of the Shadow Broker) but I would wager it likely has more of the same re: why you didn't like ME in the first place.

I pre-ordered. I usually don't, but I figured there's no reason not to get extra content for a game I planned on buying the first day anyway.
Ordered it for the PC (mainly because of the fact that if you do so there are bound to be some awesome mods in the not too distant future), and for anti-analysing etc.
Pre-ordered today from thehut.com, cheapest in the UK as far as I know, £24.93 - no preorder charge.
Ran it through Quidco too, though I am not sure if you actually get cashback on preorders when they are shipped, I figured there was no harm in trying.
Edit: Apparently Quidco does track on preorders. Considering I just got an email telling me that the expected cashback was £1.75. DA:2 Signiture Edition for £23.18? Bargin.
Honestly can not wait, looks awesome from what I have seen so far.
If you have not already, be sure to grab the Staff of Parthalan and Hindsight Belt DLC for free while they are still available over the Christmas period!

I'm against pre-ordering in general because I don't like giving away my money when I won't be getting anything back for months. Once I saw that Amazon had release-date delivery I just ran out of reasons for not pre-ordering.
Luckily shipping was only like $0.99.
