My theory is that he secretly wanted to be a bard when he was younger, but then Grimash't came along and ruined all that. And because he's never got any bard training, he's had to stick to being a fighter/weapon master. It'd explain the random lore skill thing and the singing. Either that or he hung around with one for a while at any point in his life to the point where some of that bard's songs got stuck in his brain. Of course, my theory is probably wrong, but still... I like bards.

I always pick druid though. I already had Deekin as a bard.

Well, all characters in NWN2 were empty and had nothing to say, not just Casavir. Maybe only Shandra had some personality.
Flirt and romance packs are really helpful with that. Casavir is well written. (Never tried Bishop, hate his sence of humor and cruelty.) I'm waiting for Sand's, it should be out soon.

As for the singing stopping... well, he must have ran out of random one-liners that involved singing. He only has about three or four, according to what I remember of his conversation file. I've had him sing randomly in Cania before, so I know this is true. Also, install his dialogue fix, and the mimic trigger conversation, and you'll get a little more content in Cania. (There's a cute talk you can get with him in Cania about your relationship's future, for example.)

Yes, I have this fixes. but... it is simply not enough. Talk about future is before Grimgnaw, right? And since then there's nothing between Grimgnaw and Knower of Names. Remember that huge battle between devils and demons? He should at least comment on it, shouldn't he? Or do something horrible, like in that fantastic fanfic "Into the Shadows" . He's part demon, damn, and this is one of battles from Blood wars.
Well, I could only hope someone skilful with toolset and obsessed with Valen will fill this hole one day. Someone from this thread maybe, hmm?

Don't worry. It took me two week (sometimes more) to come up with one chapter. Sometime I only write two sentences during the course of one weekend.

It's nice, isn't it? I like that elf lady and Valen's armor is very nicely done. It's a shame NWN has such a poor quality, I'm quite curious how it looks for real. In Valen's portrait it has that awesome swirls.
I always laugh when I'm  reading some fanfic where a girl complains about how it's stopping her from hugging our red-head tiefling

 I couldn't believe it when I woke up: That greatest thread of all has become stickied. The only true NWN female thread I know of. The only place in these forums where to see what is NWN for a girl, how a woman plays that game, and why.
And what her heart and passion can create out of it.

I've been following it on and off, with that permanent simpleton baby smile, and as much respect. You girls have guts, balls, dreams, and imagination. I had the, usually impossible, privilege to be "invited" to one of those "girl to girl" conversation for the first time in my life and I so enjoyed it, knowing that I should not interfere. I never saw Valen that way, but the next time I see him, I'll make sure to take a closer look at the one creating so much passion, and so much dreams. And give him your link.
