[Deliciously-Demonic]

Daniella is probably one of my favorite characters I've written in a long time. She's a very complicated character for a Lawful Good paladin. I enjoy writing her slow turn to 'the Dark Side,' if you will. If I ever get the chance to write characters for video games like I want, I will defintely make a character like her.



But we digress too much. We need some Valen art up in here.

A fic to fit Tank's lovely pic.

"Dammit!" I jumped deftly onto the rock and sat, sighing with frusteration. I was scared, and I was angry. But then again, I had wanted this right? I had always wanted this. I had wanted a husband, a house, kids, the whole thing. But it's hard to start a family in the middle of a civil war, isn't it. I looked around, sighing once more at the thought of this situation I'd gotten into. But I made my bed, and I had to lie in it.

Didn't exactly stop at the bed, did you? said Max snarkily. What about the bathtub, the floor, the wall, behind that one boulder and...that cave, in Cania. We were six feet away! It's bad enough I hear your thoughts the other times, but we were SIX FEET AWAY!

I turned to glare at him, but just then, Valen came up to me.

"My love, are you alright?" he asked, worry evident on his face. For a moment I considered telling him. I considered giving him that happiness that I knew would just be ripped from him later. Just that one bit of happiness...it couldn't hurt, right?

I couldn't put him through that.

"Nothing, Valen, it's just...nothing." I sighed again, and looked at my hands, which were folded in my lap.

"My lady, you can tell me anything that's bothering you, you know that." the tiefling murmured, covering my hands with his own.

"There's nothing wrong, Valen." I repeated quietly.

"If you're sure," he pressed his forehead against mine gently, looking me in the eyes warmly. "You worry me."

"May I remind you where this conversation went last time?" I asked, gesturing towards our audience, Max.

"My lady!" Valen cried, pretending to be scandalized. "Don't be so lecherous, I was only stating my concern for your well-being."

"And I will have you know, once again, that I am not some delicate flower." I said, the corners of my mouth twitching upwards.

"I still say that my lady makes an excellent rose." Valen replied before kissing me gently.

'Tis techinally post-HotU.

First person to guess Liz's 'situation' correctly gets a cookie.

However, the women in Elizabeth's family tend to have very bad luck during their first pregnancy...very bad. (Yes, I really am that cruel. >=3) Hence her being so extremely hesitant to tell Valen the truth. That'll never bite her in the ass, nope, not at all. /snark

Nope, not at all.  If they hadn't already traumatized Max, that would've definitely done it...but then again, who can blame her for not keeping her hands to herself?
