Decides against it-She watched his face, neutral, for a moment, then let out a brief, maniacl laugh. "Heh, y'know tiefling, you actually had me fooled for a bit. I actually thought you were a good person. I thought you were different. But no. You're just like every other man in the multiverse; a worthless, lying piece of dirt who's only looking for a round or two between the sheets. Just like evey other man who's ever..." she trailed off, tone growing more bitter with each word. "But I am far too smart to fall for that again! Now if you'll excuse me, Master Shadowbreath...we have a war to win." And like that, she stormed off, leaving a confused Valen in the dust.
He felt he should have been angered by her words...but instead, he was only saddened and hurt by her cruel rejection.

"We are stuck in Cania, I have just had to deal with a flipping dragon, I am currently wondering if anyone will notice the sudden death of a few Baatezu downstairs, and now you two!" he pointed at Elizabeth and Valen. "Dear GODS, you stupid, whiny, hypocritical children! I know you won't tell me why you keep shooting puppy dog stares and 'I-hate-you' glares at each other, and I damn sure don't care, but you idiots are going to get this entire party killed, dooming Waterdeep, the See, and all of Torril, because YOU, miss missy, have the most ridiculous trust issues I have ever seen, and YOU, mister man, have the worst timing in all the multiverse!" With that, he grabbed tiefling and N Baubmac, tossed them in a room, and pulled a key out of his obe pocket.
"This is the key to this room," Rikardo said sweetly. "You can have it when you talk things over, kiss and make up like we all know you pathetic cliche lovers do."
And then he left, locking the door behind him.
"Well, that was different," Elizabeth managed to weakly joke. Valen rolled his eyes, managing to bite down his amusement and still appear pissed off.

Valen had to marvel out how this mismatched family worked together. He had seen them fight in the Underdark and in Cania, but against this new enemy, they worked as a seamless team; Nathyrra, Deekin and he were hardly needed. But he fought with them regardless, for the sake of Azaelia. He knew Nathyrra only fought for her male, Lenarway, and Deekin because Winna was his 'Boss.'
The tiefling exhaled heavily as he shook off the last remnants of bloodlust. Then a force rammed into him, making him drop his flail and fall to the ground.
"WE WON, VALEY, WE WON!" Azaelia shrieked happily, squeezing him tightly.
"My love, I can't...breath." he managed, trying to loosen her grip.
"Oh...sorry," she smiled sheepishly and, much to his disappointment, released him. He noticed Wynna watching them with a sad smile, and he knew why; Azaelia and he were each other's True Love, but the gods had no one written in the stars for the half-orc. Past her he saw the drow blackguard, Lenarway, enthusiastically going two steps further then Azaelia did...as he normally did. He wondered briefly if Nathyrra was able to breath, but his thoughts were disrupted as the ever-excitable Azaelia hugged him again, more tenderly then before.
"I thought I lost myself that time," she murmured. "When I stabbed him...blood...there was blood everywhere...I...couldn't see straight. I thought I was losing myself again."
That was the little hitch.

She may have sometimes thought that she was special, or destined for greater things, but probably dismissed the idea as a fantasy. She's had more than her fair share of hard knocks, and probably spends more time than she ought moaning about it. And you've been sparing with the free handouts: whatever she gains, she's worked for.

Edit-- It's doubly hilarious because she is destined for great things, and she is special.
I'll give ya a hint; it's important to the Baldur's Gate games, and it makes her more similiar to Valen then she thought before.
Did I also mention that Elizabeth has no idea who her father is?
