Rikardo is now my favourite aasimar. Not that I have any others for him to compete with, but still... he's awesome. He actually has a sense of humour, unlike some aasimars I could mention. I especially like the mental image of Fenris' face upon seeing Liz and Rikardo perv on him... hehehehe.

Another thing Fenris and Valen have in common - they constantly get people checking them out. Especially in fanfic.

Rikardo is definitely not your typical aasimar. He befriends tieflings and has a drow assassin for a lover. And he loves to get his perv on. xD If Valen and Nathyrra weren't there, I think he'd end up seducing Elizabeth...

xDDDD I just woke up and that's just what I needed.
Fenris not knowing how to knock starngely suited him. You know, the whole rebelious against servitude kind of thing. But he seemed not to notice Valen (well, I get it. Being leered at may be a bit distracting xD) Will there be an epic showdown? I think they wouldn't like each other much even with all the things they have in common: very against the slavery, being non-believers, fighters, so on.

Yeah, for some reason, I've always thought that Valen and Fenris would not get along. They're too alike and so they would immediately be suspicious of the other. Though, for some reason, I think they'd get along when drunk...

(However, they seem to get along fine in my dreams - save for the "cheating on Valen with Fenris one". They even played chess together...)

I'm pissed off because my father turned off the computer while I was in the middle of saving my game. I had just reach the Knower of Places, too. Screwed up my save. The jerk.

Zella and Fenris' talk didn't last long, but they were both grim-faced when they came back. Rikardo automatically went back to leering at Fenris (and for good measure, Zella), Max had wandered off and curled up in front of a fireplace, sighing contently, Elizabeth was leaning into Valen, holding his hand with her eyes closed.
"I take it you talk is over?" Rikardo asked with a sly grin.
"Yes," Zella frowned. "we...ah...have a problem to attend to. Nothing big, a few apostates who are probably blood mages who we have to turn in."
Fenris raised an eyebrow. "That's odd, coming from you. Weren't you always so...anti-Chantry?"
"Considering most of the apostates we've tried to help have been abominations, blood mages, or both, I have a reason to be cynical."
"What's an apostate?" Elizabeth asked suddenly.
"It's what mages on the run from the Chantry, like me, are called." Zella answered.
"Chantry?"
"Church of the Maker and Andraste."
"Never heard of them."
"Wha?" Zella blinked rapidly. "You...have never...heard of the Maker?"
"Nope."
"Then you're faithless?"
"Nope again. I serve to nature deity Byhdran, goddess of freedom." Elizabeth said. "She gives me my spells over nature."
"I serve Lyxeos, goddess of...pleasure." Rikardo put emphasis on the last word, grinning wildly.
"I am a God. It be moot point to serve a fellow." Max spoke up from the fireplace.
"I have trouble relating to the idea of serving so-called 'beings of higher power.'" Valen said flatly.
"If what Merrill has told me about the Elven Creators...none of those are." Fenris said to Zella.
"You listened to Merrill go on about the Dalish Gods?"
"No, she forced unwanted information on me."
"He was ear-raped!" Elizabeth cried loudly, making everyone jump violently.
Valen sighed, "I apologize. When she's tired, she gets...odd...er."

I've decided on some things that will make Cania very interesting. Let's just say Rik isn't good at taking orders, Liz really likes logic puzzles, and Rik designated Liz as the 'Official Looter,' which basically means she has to loot bodies and chests whenever she sees them. Did I mention she really, *really* loves her equipment?

"Sooo...can I come along?" Elizabeth smiled hopefully at the elves.
"To help us with the apostate?" Zella raised an eyebrow.
"I like fighting."
"You don't look all that...intimidating." Fenris said slowly.
"I'm quick, and I can do ranged and close-quarters." Elizabeth shrugged.
"I..." Elizabeth gave her puppy dog eyes to Zella, who caved quickly. "Fine. Don't get killed."
"I swear, she could take over the world with those eyes," Rikardo muttered. "I'll stay here. Ah...I use magic more then blades, so...I'll be safer here, I think."
"Me too." Max muttered. "Warm...I not be so warm in long time."
"I'll come, to keep her out of trouble." Valen sighed.
"Hey, I'm not that bad!"
"Yes, yes you are."

So they went on their way, Zella, Fenris and Valen. After they had been walking for about an hour, Zella and Elizabeth decided their men ere creepily similar. Said men also decided they didn't like each other.
Elizabeth fell back next to Fenris, determined to have a conversation so she didn't go insane.
"Nice tattoos," she said quietly. "I have some."
"Do they curse you with the ability to tear a man's heart out?"
"No. My good looks do. Though, I can tear out a man's throat so long as I have my gaunlets on." she raised her hands to show the wicked-sharp, clawed gauntlets. "Mine do mark me as a run-away slave though." she gave him a cheeky grin, making him quirk an eyebrow.
"Fenris was a slave once," Zella said over her shoulder. "Till we killed his master."
"I've yet to kill my mistress, but frankly, I don't give a damn." Liz shrugged. "I just want to live free."
"If you had the chance to free other slaves, would you?" Zella asked.
"No." she said simply.

Hesitance came from the other at this, then with a long sigh, "A...a-a daughter."
Eyes widened, and the reply was, "A daughter? Then...you are married?"
"No...we loved each other very much, but...no, we never married. I left my daughter with a friend before I set out..."
"What's her name?"
"My daughter's? Her...her name is Natalie."
"That's a nice name."
"Yeah...."
Both stared at the ground; she sighed inaudibly, and he was feeling slightly upset.
"I suppose you're wondering why I'm an adventurer if I have a daughter. I...it's all I know. We need money. I thought...I hoped I could give her a better life if I wasn't in it, if all I did was give them the coin I eaned. Who needs a parent who's going to die young? Wandering is in my blood. I don't...no, I can't stay in one place for long. She deserves better then that. Then me. And I can't pretend she doesn't play a part in me staying here. Natalie's in Waterdeep. The Valsharess will target there first...."
"And here I was, thinking you were doing what was right."
"Damn whats right or wrong. I'm not doing this for some stupid 'morality.' Natalie is my everything. I'm doing this for her, and her alone."

And no. I'm not giving context, nor will I say if this is Nathyrra and Rikardo or Valen and Elizabeth. I'll be evil and let you guys stew for a bit.
Though, Rikardo *is* Chaotic Good, so...that would be rather selfish of him. -waggles eyebrows evilly-

Well, I'm looking for it. -shrugs; wonders if she qualifies to become a deity-

Gender-bending is a past-time of mine; when I'm not writing, gaming or trolling, I'm drawing random characters as the opposite gender.
I've decided to sum up Rik and Nathyrra's relationship in this one dialogue:
Rikardo: B*tch.
Nathyrra: Man-wh*re.
Rikardo: Woman-wh*re.
Nathyrra: That makes no sense.
Rikardo: Your...face...makes no sense!
Nathyrra: Wha?
Rkardo: You...you heard me! B*tch!
Nathyrra: Man-wh*re!

It's a vicious cycle. Occasionally they'll have their fluffy moments. But for the most part, they're like children. Mostly because Rikardo has no idea how to handle his feelings for Nathyrra because all his relationships with woman (save for Liz) have been purely sexual. And his lack of knowledge in that department irritates Nathyrra, making her rather b*tchy.
Playing DA2 again after beating HotU...again...and my Sarcastic/Charming Rikardo Hawke (No coincedence, I swear! -is lying-) is awesomesauce to play...especially his romance with Merill (high five, D-D romanced someone other then Fenris!) And I've been inspired!

D-D has an evil idea

Elizabeth opened the door slowly, Valen following closely. Liz rushed to the bedside; Rikardo was a mess. His feathery silver hair hadn't been brushed in a while, he wore dirty clothes, and he seemed paler then usual; which was definitely saying something. He smelled as if he hadn't bathed in a while, too.
"Rik?" Elizabeth murmured soothingly, placing a hand gently on the aasimar's shoulder.
"What do you want?" he snapped, pale white eyes full of anger.
"We heard about what happened." Liz tightened her grip ever so slightly, he breath hitching. "I never thought she'd do something like that."
"Well...she did. And she's gone. I never have to see that b*tch again." Rik laughed, but it was empty; when he did so, Liz caught the smell of rum on his breath.
"We're here for you, Rik. Nathyrra may be gone, but we're here."
"Why should I care?"
Liz sighed; she knew too well the symptoms of heartbreak. "We're your friend, Rikardo."
"That's what you think? Please." the man snorted, pupil-less eyes turning to the rum bottle on his bedside table. "All you are to me are henchmen."
"Rik, you know you don't mean that."
"You're so naive, Terry." Liz flinched at the use of her surname. "I've never cared about you. All those little 'speeches' I gave you? Those dumb pep-talks. Morale. Our mission would fail if you idiots had no moral. So I pretended to give a damn, and guess what; it worked."
"Rik, you know you don't mean that-"
"Stop assuming you know me, Terry. Now pike off, you stupid wh*re."
"You will *not* speak to her like that, celestial!" Valen snarled, glaring at the man.
"F*ck you, demonspawn." Rik sneered. "Get the hells out of my room before I force you out."
Liz shakily stood to her feet, tears staining her cheek.
"You called me sister..." she murmured.
"I said get out, wh*re." he growled. Liz sobbed and ran from the room; Valen narrowed his eyes.
"If you *dare* treat Elizabeth like that again, I'll kill you, Rikardo." and then he left the room.

Liz simply cried, unbelievably hurt.

Indeed, indeed, he is suffering from the BSOD. :/ He's upset because of what Nathyrra did (free to make your own assumptions, dearies, cause I'm not telling) and therefore is putting up a Jerk*ss Facade. He wants his friends to hate him before he does what he's planning on doing (again, free to make assumptions; I'm not telling.)
Valen will set him straight, don't worry; they're total bros, though they'd never admit it.
