Orlanda was able to keep her alignment even though she romanced Valen. Stupid tiefling! Stupid, stupid tiefling! ;-) I intended to take over Cania with her ... darned demonic half-breed, should have killed him.

Orlanda reminds me of my Merriana Sweetberry. > Chaotic Evil barbarian/blackguard who romanced Valen whilst keeping her alignment. In my imagination, she took over Cania via Mephistopheles' true name, and corrupted Valen into the Chaotic Evil general of her Baatezu army.

A) Seduce them
Get his ass kicked
or
C) Get distracted by easier targets.

Also, I personally want to know what would happen if Aarien or Sel met Rikardo. (D-D, if you're curious, check my DeviantArt journals to find out about them. A.C, you already know about them. ) I think Sel and Rikardo would be bros, and Aarien would find Rikardo utterly weird, and his half-demon blood - along with Aarien's previous... experience with angel hybrids - would make Aarien instinctively mistrust him.

I will tell you this; the party, being as big as it is, splits up a lot to get things done quicker. (i.e, in Shaori's Fell.) So, Rikardo will split the party again; Valen, Liz and Max to the Beholders, and Rik, Nathyrra and Deekin to the illithids.

Rikardo always puts Elizabeth with Valen when the party splits because he feels she safer with him. Rikardo cares about Liz a lot. True fact. -nodnod-

I came up with a new idea for the Uin Baubmac.

Sometimes, the Uin Baubmac have an ability to bind their souls with that of another. The bond is a very sacred one, and it is considered the Gods forever intertwining the souls of two people. The bond, known as the cuim puht, allows those involved to be constantly aware of each other’s presence (though rarely on a conscious level), and should one be harmed or killed, the other will always know. It is said that some bonds are strong enough to allow highly concentrated feelings, such as joy, anger and fear, to be transferred through the cuim puht.

Because of the intimate nature of this bond, it is usually preserved for lovers, family, and occasionally close friends. The bond is created mentally, by willing your soul to merge with that of the other person. Because of this, it is extremely difficult to actually forge the bond, and only those with intense concentration succeed. However, it is possible for the bonds to be created accidentally. Should the relationship be strong enough, the bond could be forged without clear intent.

The forger, or the one who wills the bond to be created, always knows of the existence of the bond; however, the one who has been bonded to, though while feeling the effects, usually will not know unless they are told. Considering how intimate the relationship must be for the bonding to take place, it would be rare for an event where the one bonded to does not know.

Exactly how the cuim puht exist, and why, are unknown, and one can only guess at their true nature.

Wow, I hadn't realized how long it's been since I came to the forums! Thank you, everyone, who answered my question from many, many pages ago.
D-D (I'm not a regular poster here, can I call you that?), that bond thingy sounds really interesting. I know I'm seriously out of the loop here, but is this a race you're creating on your own for Elizabeth? I thought she was maybe/kinda/in the future going to be a Bhaalspawn, which I was hoping (perhaps vainly) would lead to BG-NWN interactions? (I've had an encounter in that vein floating around my head for a while, but the focus is more on the BG characters, with Valen not really saying much and just watching the chaos unfold.)
Anyway, keep the writing going! I need something to distract me from finals...

Yes, the Uin Baubmac is a race I created for my OC.

Hmm...not sure how to answer that without spoiling something...there will be BG-NWN interactions (including my Bhaalspawn Diamber showing up). I will neither confirm nor deny if Elizabeth is a Bhaalspawn. Maybe it's someone else. Maybe Rikardo is actually a Bhaalspawn; his mother's race isn't ever confirmed (I'm not exactly sure what I wanna do with her). Maybe Diamber is actually Rikardo's mother. Maybe Max is a Bhaalspawn!
...no? Okay, I'll stop being ridiculous now.

I've been replaying BG2: Throne of Bhaal, and there's one level in Watcher's Keep where a bunch of demons are duking it out Blood-War style. I kept wishing Valen would pop up and take them all out for me, especially since some of the rooms are dead/wild magic zones. When your cleric can't cast healing spells, any extra warriors are welcome! But alas, he never came...
