I've got that one, was one of the first mods I downloaded, but I'm not having any luck with him and the Mimic thing. And I had that patch installed before I ever rolled my charrie at all, so that shouldn't be an issue, either. I have (had) Ari with me, but I tried leaving her outside before even going in the happy, little mimic's den, and when I hit the trigger point, he doesn't say anything. Where Ari will *every*time.



I am very sad. ;-; Ah well, at least the romance itself worked just fine.

Oh, no....

I suppose there is only one option left--replay the game and take only Deekin. I never took Ari.

I know what you mean. If it works the same like it was for me, you have to pass by first set of pillars on the left to trigger that conversation and have only Valen in your party, a little further than the place where Ari would talk. Seemed to me like Valen had his own trigger point.

Oh. Well I'll try that. I think I did walk on further, but maybe I didn't. I was getting kind of frustrated. Actually, I think I went to the *right* thinking that might be his. Ha.



Or! I can just take Deekin. I miss him. I didn't have him in my party at the attack and Reaper won't offer to summon him. I miss his Doom song.

Found this little orphan at FFN: Two World

A bit different, the PC is from our world and somehow managed to teleport into their world. The writor covered most of the Chapter 2 but decided not to carry on due to the lack of response. I managed to push her posted a little bit of Chapter 3 and she was disappeared again. Such a shame, it's a good Valen story!

I think she posted a very serious Jack one from ME 2 just before Christmas, and yeah, her parody stuff are just pure gold!

I think the post-HotU mod we've discussed here was also half done and not yet publish (self amusment only). I really hope one day BioWare can spare some budget to revamp this one, like they did to Final Fantasy series. It will be so nice to see Valen in HD.:wub:

EDIT, halfway through replaying my HotU. Finally get into Chapter 2. It became a bit bareble now having Valen around.
 Though unable to use the cheat code still deeply annoyed me.
 I might really need help on this one. The system always told me it's successful but nothing happened to my PC at all. :crying:

Yeah unfortunately. I think it got archived as well as the flirtpack. The only Valen mod I know of is the one for Baldur's Gate II, but I think its still in beta and not yet finished.. And that it's slowly being worked on. I hope it get done because it is a great mod.

I'm a little sad the flirt pack never really finished. I was really excited about that. I'd do one myself if I had any idea how to code at all. I think it just became a lack of leadership in that area. Well, at least his responses to the little flirts in his dialogue are a lot of fun Seriously, who doesn't love those horns?

I think....I am not sure. But I think you can do that with toolseet. I've seen the lengthy discussion on the Bishop forum a long while back discussion how it work. But as I am not a computer genius, I kind of skipped it.

Gawd yes! I was going to make it with Shades but it never took off. And I have forgotten most of my coding skills. I'm trying to re-learn and if I ever do I swear the flirt pack will be made. There are so many great flirts already written for it. It need to be made!

This thread convinced me to go buy NWN. I love love love NWN 2, so I suppose it's about time I played the first. I got like two hours into the OC and was a little impatient to see this famous tiefling, so I skipped straight to HotU. I'm loving it (and him), so far!

I finished the main campaign, but I skipped right after Hordes of the Underdark. But then I started Shadows of Undretid, but was never able to finish it too :<

I've played through all three main campaigns. It's really hard for me to get interested in the OC any more, though. I played a male my first time through the OC and never realized there was romance until Aribeth confessed to me at the end O.o



I swear, if I have to deal with one more dead ex I'm going to lose it. It worked with Valen, but that's because he had the decency to not talk about her until we pried it out of him ><



Oh well, at least he didn't keep comparing us to his sister like one train wreck of a romance I know.

No, I like Carth, I just think he's a massive wuss for saying he'll protect us then backing out the first time we need him to And Dead ex is different than dead family, even if his son survived



But then again, I was always a little put out that I couldn't have my Revan totally freak out and have an identity crisis. You think about it, very few people are going to handle the fact that their entire life is a lie well...



I guess I mainly object to the fact that the dead ex thing has become cliched, and as a result few people can write it in a way that isn't tedious. I understand we may not of been the first love interest in the companion's life, but GEEZ! Does the ex need to die every time? Is it impossible for people to just break up in video games? I understand having your girlfriend leave you because you refuse to help with the housework isn't as dramatic as being murdered by space pirates, but at least it's relatable.

I guess there's just not much reason to mention their exes unless they died. Then again Kaidan mentions his former love, who lived. And we've gotten to meet the ex a couple of times. Like with Zev and Bishop. Of course Zevran also had a dead ex, and he's probably slept with half of Thedas >.>

Yeah, it's a wonder isn't it? Why can't your ex live and you bump into them while you are venturing around....(was about to say Anders but...well....).
