Had so much fun with Dragon Age I decided to see it's origins, they had the neverwinters night diamond edition at best buy, so I grabbed that.  But when I try to play I get an error message saying it has a known compatability issue with this version of windows. For an update that is compatible with this version of windows, contact bioware corp. I tried updating from opening menu and I get an eror message saying that the update failed. Am I "SOL"?  Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Are you banging on about NWN or NWN2? NWN is BioWare, while NWN2 is Obsidian.

Can you be more specific with the error message?  What OS?

Ooops, my bad....I see now this is a NW2 board.......I see some installation instuctions on the NW1 board. I'll see if that doesnt work. It is the diamond edition NW1...says it is supposed to have all the patches, but....... the error message I get is basically what i said in the previous post. Toshiba laptop, windows vista....was a gaming laptop when I bought it, duo core...256 nvidia graphics...but for the new games now it's pretty much a doorstop, hehe. Thats why I have been loking at older games that I haven't played. Still any info you can give me will be appreciated.

I guess there was a patch 1.69 the failed to install in the diamond editioin, hehe.
