Players of Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age: Origins Awakening are well aquainted with The Deep Roads. These paths through the underground lands of Thedas were home to the dwarves until the Bight returned to the land. Now every year, the foulness spreads a little further.

1) I think you meant "Blight."Chris Priestly wrote...

2) Until the Blight returned to the land? The dwarves lived in the Deep Roads before the darkspawn ever arrived. Are you implying/hinting/leaking that the known Blights have not been the first appearances of the darkspawn? Has this cruel cycle existed before?

Again??? Really??? I hope its not as long, tedious, and time consuming as Orzammar was. Then again, I'm not a fan of dwarves.

Well, I am a fan of the dwarves, but so what? The Deep Roads got very tedious.
Though I suppose it's not impossible to make things more fun.

Though I agree, It actually did made sense for it to be so long, after all the deep roads spread far underneath the surface.. (maybe not as far but still)....
The time lapse, however did not... as I Imagine crossing that would take several months I think...
Hope they can make it even more beautifull though I'm confident they will

I dont mind the deep roads just as long as there isnt anything where you go into the fade again seven playthroughs on DAO you knd of start hating it.

It did seem like we spent entirely too much time in the deep roads in DA:O. However, I love the concept art, and I'm definitely looking forward to this.

A rather play an entire game in the Deep Roads than play 10 minutes in the Fade:)

It's a humongous part of Thedas, with much to explore. It's not going to be the same exact place....

Not the Deep Roads AGAIN!
Next to the Fade during Broken Circle, the Deep Roads was my least favorite part of DA:O
*sigh* oh well, I'll survive somehow.

I loved the deep roads. I keep vacillating over what my favorite character intro was, but the Dwarven Noble definitely vies for first place.
I sometimes find the fade to be a little tedious, but never the deep roads.

"well this is unheard of, an elf going underground when a dwarf dare not. Ohhhh id never hear the end of it." -- Gimli LOTR. >>>(In no way shape or form am i advocating for dwarfs. We elves prefer they keep their sorry sodding excuse for existence with them underground and dont bother us. Go bother the shems.
)<<<
There is alot of mystery and lore in lumped together in the deep roads. Besides there isnt anything down that you cant put down with a few well places arrows.

Already mentioned in the Lowtown update. Apparently there's a section of Kirkwall called "Darktown" where the poorest of the poor have set up shop in the sewers. Which actually sounds like a neat place to visit.leonia42 wrote...

So I guess this confirms that the Deep Roads will at least have some part in the game.
Meaning the darkspawn will as well, because why else would some human wander around there if he's not already a nut job to begin with?
Meaning the Grey Wardens will too, because them and Darkspawn go hand in hand.
Anyone taking bets on the Architect's status?
