Quick update here for OmegaJudgement and all others who are concerned.

I have made successful contact with EA, the rep even said he made adjustments to my xbox live account so I can access the DLC on the PC with ease . . . of course it didnt work but it's the thought that counts :)

I played through the first missions or so on ME2 real quick to get to the Normandy but to no avail, the content wasn't there like I hoped. Also checked my xbox version and my registered content page here to find the DLC for the PC, but alas, my efforts were in vain. However I would say that this is good news to all those who repurchased this game and dont want to have to repurchase their DLC because the rep I spoke with seemed more than happy to assist me in re-obtaining the content at no extra cost. I sent another reply to him explaining my current situation and am now awaiting another response. I will post the final verdict here once I have reached it. In the mean time I would highly recommend all those who are in a similar situation to contact EA support as well

the story so far...

So I contacted them via chat again, and told them about the issue and that I've been waiting for a response. They asked for my incident no. to check through it.

Semi-good news, they said that only senior support can handle out giving those kinds of codes, and that they are super busy from the holiday back-log. The representative however did escalate my issue and marked it as a priority.'

I guess the other good thing to say is (also to back up on Argonaut1314's point) is that this issue can definitely be solved, and they are willing to help.

I'm in the same boat. I'm curious to know how you got so far with support. I asked them via Live chat if the content was available on both platforms, and they simply told me no.

The 'senior support can only handle this' is a bunch of crap. I went on the ea support thing with the same issue as you guys (got all the dlc for 360 and want them on pc) I mentioned that I had some of the dlc missing for pc like lair of the shadow broker (Cerberus stuff was there). the support guy put lair of the shadow broker onto the pc section of my downloads, then I asked about the rest. Only then did he deny that the dlc applied for both pc and xbox. I showed him the message you get when you click more info showing how it says you unlocked it for pc and xbox where he then put theproblem to senior support to email me back.

long story short. they can put dlc like overlord and lair of the shadow broker so its available to download without paying again and the 'senior support' thing is just a way of delaying doing it.

I just got a e-mail reply. They registered Overlord PC to my account. So far I have gotten Shadow Broker and Overlord registered on my registered game promotions. I am just missing Kasumi. I was given a code last week but I keep getting errors when I try to register it, the latest error is telling me that it is already in use.

So far, it appears that it is possible to get the DLC you purchased on the Xbox registered for the PC without removing the DLC you have already registered on the Xbox. It just takes alot of work with support (more then I hopped).

I have not tried anything in-game as of yet because I have been to busy playing Borderlands Coop but, with any luck, if they are showing up here http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php then it should work.

I just got another update from EA and I now have Kasumi registered. This means I now have all of the DLC I purchased on the Xbox registered on both the Xbox and the PC versions.

It took longer then I would have liked but it can be done.

Kind of good news.

So I finally got a reply from senior support, and he says that the dlc is not transferable from 360 to PC...meh.

But he did give me a code that gives me $20 off at the EA store.

If nothing else I appreciate the efforts...maybe you guys will have better luck

Better sooner rather than later. Make sure on this site "socal.bioware.com" you register both your PC and 360 versions of the game to your profile. Then go to Profile>Your registered game promotions. You will see a list of all DLC you have purchased for all of your bioware games here and it automatically adds the DLC for PC that you purchased on your xbox. All you have to do is click to download each piece of DLC and install it to your PC. Very easy to do and I just happened to find it looking all over this site when I didn't get a good concise answer from this forum. Now lets all go enjoy this game another time on PC!

How? I just registered my games, and still under "Your registered game promotions" the DLC that I bought for the xbox 360 still just says "More Info." underneath the column "Download"

Same here, not working yet.

I have a suspicion though. It shows under my account information that I haven't played ME2 online yet, which is strange considering I can log into the Cerberus Network/EA Online with the same e-mail account.

Well I just got done speaking with the support rep. All he'd credit me for was for the overlord and kasumi DLCs. I'm working on speaking with his seniors to try to get me the rest of it. I mentioned Anfax btw, and he said that he only had the 360 DLC. WTF man? Not cool.

This is the reply I got waiting to talk to someone who can think logically and give a damn:

Apparently, customer support reps cannot support customers. Awesome.

After going through EA customer support I was given my Lair of the Shadow Broker. Equalizer pack and alternate appearance pack. Nothing about overlord, or Kasumi though. LotSB was the one I really wanted though.

Edit: Wait they just showed up! Yay, I got all the DLC back!

2296223737: hi

2296223737: my name is XXXX and i recently spoke with another rep but i tried to respond but not quickly enough timed out

2296223737: i am going to paste the text to save time one sec

2296223737: Andy: Hi, my name is Andy. How may I help you?

Andy: Hello

2296223737: Hey there, my name is XXXX. I currently have a copy of Xbox mass effect2 and recently purchased a PC version and found no way of being able to transfer the downloadable content to the PC

Andy: Sorry but in this case you need to purchase the DLC separately for this platform

2296223737: I read on the bioware social forums that EA only has the means to enable/transfer the content

2296223737: heh thats not what other reps have been doing for customers

2296223737: and it also states that the content is purchased for XBox and PC platforms under the additional notes link

2296223737: Your promotional code included an unlock for both PC and Xbox 360 platforms. To access your content on the Xbox 360, please ensure you activate Cerberus in-game using the same account you used while redeeming this code on the social website. Once you have done this, your content will be available for download from Xbox LIVE via the in-game store.

Download Walkthrough

2296223737: copied directly

2296223737: Andy: Ok so now you need the Cerberus network in your account for the PC platform right ?

2296223737: nope the cerberus network is enabled through the pc purchased game. the downloadable content such as Firepower Pack Aegis Pack Overlord Pack Shadow Broker Kasumi - Stolen Memory Alternate Appearance Pack 1 (Garrus, Thane, Jack) i cant enable to be downloaded to pc

2296223737: the following i have purchased through xbox

2296223737: er those above i mean

2296223737: My registered Bioware social network account is xxxxxx@xxxxx.com Xbox Gamertag of xxxxxxxxx If you need anymore information showing that i have purchased the downloaded content please let me know :)

Andy: Ø All the free DLC that you get for purchasing Mass Effect 2 game can be accessed on Xbox 360 as well as PC.

Ø Paid DLCs are only available for the platform that you purchase the DLC on.

Ø DLCs on Xbox 360 are purchased through marketplace using Microsoft points.

Ø DLCs on PC are purchased through http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc page using Bioware points.

Ø If you have purchased a DLC on Xbox 360 and wants to download it on PC, you would have to purchase it again on PC. The same goes for PC version paid DLCs.

2296223737: little bit long sorry

Simon: Please wait till I read it.

Simon: May I know the exact problem you are facing?

2296223737: the problem is that i have already purchased the DLC but physically cant download it to PC

2296223737: it shows xbox but no means to enable it for pc

2296223737: http://social.biowar...index/5542123/1

2296223737: shows people having related issues

2296223737: under the download section it has a more info link showing the following:

Once you have done this, your content will be available for download from Xbox LIVE via the in-game store.

2296223737: Stating the purchase is for PC and xbox and the previous rep was stating otherwise

Simon: Sorry, but the DLC for Xbox and the PC are different and cannot be used by a same code.

2296223737: that is not what the statement says

Simon: So you need to purchase the DLC for the X box and PC seperatly.

2296223737: that is not what it says under that statement

2296223737: I guess i will have to call when your call center is open, because people are getting this issue resolved. under the link i showed you but its done by Senior reps

2296223737: wierd you have live chat but no phone lines open today

Simon: Please call at Monday.

2296223737: just to help other people you mind if i post this conversation online, for people having similar issues?

Simon: Sorry, but the DLC for X box and PC are different.

Simon: So you cannot use it at two consoles.

2296223737: clearly that is not what the statement says im afraid

2296223737: Your promotional code included an unlock for both PC and Xbox 360 platforms. To access your content on the Xbox 360, please ensure you activate Cerberus in-game using the same account you used while redeeming this code on the social website. Once you have done this, your content will be available for download from Xbox LIVE via the in-game store.

2296223737: and other reps according to the social site are recieving some sort of help

Simon: Do you want Cerberus network for PC?

2296223737: i already have it for the pc

2296223737: when i purchased the PC version, it did include a code. I attempted to not use it, to use my xbox purchased code. As the walkthrough showed from that link i posted.

2296223737: but the code cant be used x2 accordingly..

Simon: So which DLC you want for which console?

2296223737: I have already purchased the following:

2296223737: Firepower Pack Aegis Pack Overlord Pack Shadow Broker Kasumi - Stolen Memory Alternate Appearance Pack 1 (Garrus, Thane, Jack)

2296223737: all the others have means of accessing it, my Dr.Pepper codes

Simon: These are to be purchased seperatly.

2296223737: and the others that were included in the bundle

2296223737: Exactly i already did

2296223737: when i clicked on the download link (More info)

2296223737: Your promotional code included an unlock for both PC and Xbox 360 platforms. To access your content on the Xbox 360, please ensure you activate Cerberus in-game using the same account you used while redeeming this code on the social website. Once you have done this, your content will be available for download from Xbox LIVE via the in-game store.

2296223737: pops up

2296223737: stating clearly that only 1 transaction is needed for Xbox and PC versions

2296223737: but there are no means to download it to PC

Simon: Sorry, but for this no one can help you as the DLC's cannot be used for Two consoles.

2296223737: So you are stating that your company is using false adversting?

2296223737: Your promotional code included an unlock for both PC and Xbox 360 platforms. = False ????

Simon: No, if you looks like that then you can post your issue at the game forum.

2296223737: I will be contacting on monday and saving this as well.. Have a Happy New Year. I wish you could have been more helpful :(

I would like to inform you that unfortunately it is not possible to transfer the downloadable content from Xbox version to PC version. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. If you wish then you need to purchase the downloadable content for PC Version separately.

Would be nice to have some solid rule on this matter instead of some people saying they've had success and others saying the same as my response.

Hello again friends, I return from my endeavor with success! I officially take back all the bad things I have ever said about EA customer support. Albeit, it took a bit of time and patience, but please too all those who are in this situation, do not give up hope. I have successfully managed to get the three main DLC's for the PC free of charge: Kasumi, Overlord, and Shadow Broker.

Here is exactly what happened between me and the customer support forum:

-I went to this website http://support.ea.com/, and opened a new question, using ME2 as the game, PC as the platform, and Account/Registration and Product Registration as the topics. The subject I labeled "No Expansion"

- I gave the following statement as my initial question:

To whom it may concern,

Recently I have purchased Mass Effect 2 for the PC via steam during one of their promotional holiday offers. However, I also own this game for the Xbox 360 and have purchased the DLC for that version. The BioWare website clearly states that this DLC that I have purchased is interchangeable between the Xbox 360 and the PC version by saying the content purchased works for both "PC and Xbox 360". I would like to redeem the DLC that I purchased for the Xbox 360 to my PC version. Specifically the "Shadow Broker", "Overlord", and "Kasumi - Stolen Memory" as these are not included in the Cerberus Network package that comes with the game upon purchase. Please contact me ASAP with the necessary steps in order to redeem my already purchased content for my PC version

- This is where it got a bit complicated. After sending this the Representative I spoke with was under the impression that I was having trouble accessing the account from my Xbox account. This is what has been holding me up for the longest time. I corrected him after two exchanges by firmly restating what I have already said but in a much clearer matter so that there was no confusion as to what I wanted

- After restating what the real problem was, he informed me that it required further investigation and needed more time. I was patient at this point and he added I should provide all the necessary information that could help speed up the process. In short, I added that I can provide ready proof of purchase of both versions of the game as well as the DLC shortly after, and I restated where the claim is specifically on the BioWare website that the content purchased provides both and unlock for PC and Xbox. Below is the exact letter I provided him after his "need more time to investigate" letter was sent to me:

Dear Andrew,

Thank you very much for looking more into this matter, it is greatly appreciated as this is one of my favorite games.

I can provide any number of specific information upon request. However I will not post it readily here until I know for certain that it is required. This is for purely security reasons on my part and I have no problem submitting the necessary information to you and your company.

If you access my xbox live account, you can clearly see that I have owned Mass Effect 2 since its launch in February 2010 and have played it numerously since then. My account should also prove that I have legally purchased the DLC "Lair of the Shadow Broker", "Kasumi - Stolen Memory", and "Overlord" via the Xbox Live marketplace. I can also provide the proof of purchase of Mass Effect 2 PC version. This documentation should provide all the necessary proof that you need to confirm I have legally purchased both versions of the game and the Downloadable Content in question.

I also have readily available the Cerberus Network Activation codes for both the Xbox version and PC version of the game should you require them. Please note however that both codes have been activated and both versions of the game are registered to a BioWare Social Network Profile online. The Xbox version was registered and activated back in February 2010 and the PC Version was registered earlier today. I registered the PC version earlier today upon your instruction from this help topic as I was led to believe the issue was resolved. This should prove no issue in this matter.

If you also go to my BioWare Social Network profile (Argonaut1314) you can also see the registered DLC in my name already. It is also on this website that you can find the information regarding DLC policy. The website clearly states that upon the purchase of any DLC for this game, a promotional code is given for both the PC and Xbox versions of the game. However I do not have this code nor do I have the DLC in question. This is my current issue and why I have contacted you recently. I would suggest simply giving me a promotional code to access said DLC would be the most efficient route as I have readily available proof of purchase but how the matter is resolved is in your and the company hands, not mine.

Should you require any of the information that I have in my possession, please contact me ASAP and I will upload the necessary specifics.

- The following is the result of my last suggestion:

Hello Gamer,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I do apologize for the issues you have been experiencing with Mass Effect 2. As a gamer myself, I can understand how frustrating not being able to play your game can be. I have been assigned to your issue, and would be happy to assist you in this matter. I have gone ahead and made the necessary changes to your account. You will now see you have this content for your PC version as well.

Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts game in the future, please visit our web site and review our extensive Self Help Knowledge base (http://support.ea.com).

Best Regards,

Brandan

I am now currently downloading the DLC! :D

In short, tell them the issue, point out the policy stated here, and tell them you have all available proof of purchase to emphasize you have legally bought everything (at least I'm assuming all of you have legally bought everything, your loss if you didnt). Be patient friends, and you will succeed. I hope this helps everyone here.

In response to Argonaut1314 I'm presented with a dilemma, I purchased the PC version of Mass Effect 2 as my XBOX 360 stopped working and went RROD, I have since traded in the physical copy of Mass Effect 2 and the slip that came with it with the code has since been lost.

After checking your profile then checking mine, it shows that you have Mass Effect 2 registered to your account under Games, whereas mine doesn't. I thought using that code to gain access to the cerberus network in game also registered the game, but apparently I was mistaken. My BioWare Social Network profile under my "registered game promotions" it mentions my GamerTag and all the DLC that is obviously gotten from the Cerberus Network Activation for the XBOX360, however, it it doesn't show under games on my profile page...

Any suggestions to how I should approach this? (assuming they don't give me the "cannot be transferred response" again.)

I'm sorry to hear that Omega.

Well my best suggestion to you is to convince them that you did legally purchase the content and can readily provide proof of purchase. They were able to access my xbox live account easily so I'm sure they'll be able to determine if you did or did not purchase said content, regardless of your registration on this website. I'm also sure EA can provide you with the Cerberus code that was used to activate your account for the xbox version so you can register the game here.

once you have done that, like I stated previously, just reaffirm the fact that you bought everything legally, can prove it, and that BioWare's website clearly states the notion of a one time purchase fee for the DLC, providing one download for both the xbox and PC. It might even help to mention you love this game, as it did for me :)

Best of luck to you Omega, keep us informed here so we may help
