If I get the PC version, does the DLC from XBox transfer over?

After a fairly long back and forth via email to their senior support staff, I was given access to the DLC.

Also, to those of you in the UK, the 20$ vouchers they may have given you don't work for our region. I spoke to a rep about it, and there is no equivalent for us brits!

I thought this too and after looking at this thread I tried my luck at EA support. All they did was get rid of the more info link. Is everyone else missing the link now? :/

Yup, no "more info" link (for paid DLC). I guess they decided to remove the "Your promotional code included an unlock for both PC and Xbox 360 platforms" so people would no longer have claim.

Hm, at least they have dealt with it. This board has been here for a month now and I noticed that message back in September. A big reason why I wasn't hesitant to buy the game again.
Guess I ruined it for everyone had the final complaint but different luck than the other guys here. ;<

Yes! Thank you EA. After a few online chat sessions I got through to someone who unlocked the DLC I purchased on the xbox for the PC version as well. (The person even unlocked some DLCs I didn't have, like Alternate Appearance Pack #1 (only for the PC version though), the Terminus Weapon and Armor, Inferno Armor, Incisor Rifle, and the Collector Armor and weapon. Not sure why, but I'm not complaining.) The person said they were unable to unlock Appearance Pack #2, so to make up for that he gave me a code for $20 at the EA store to buy BioWare points.

So I'd recommend someone who, like me, got ME2 for the PC from the sequel celebration but already has ME2 plus DLC for the xbox version, get into an online chat with an EA rep. I made sure to reference this thread so the rep could see that others have had their DLCs unlocked. It may take a few tries, but hopefully you'll eventually get to someone who will unlock the content for you, rather than say "Sorry, you'll have to buy the DLC again for the PC platform."

Could be anything. Site might be down for maintenance, you might not be putting in a recognised username/password combo. Cookies might be disabled in your browser.

I just logged in fine from Australia, dont know if that helps or not.

At least it was smooth and simple. Although i had all content, i asked only for the big ones, and the managed to register mass effect 1 in origin too. Really nice.

Thanks to Argonaut 1314 and this text.

To whom it may concern,

Recently I have purchased Mass Effect 2 for the PC via steam during one of their promotional holiday offers. However, I also own this game for the Xbox 360 and have purchased the DLC for that version. The BioWare website clearly states that this DLC that I have purchased is interchangeable between the Xbox 360 and the PC version by saying the content purchased works for both "PC and Xbox 360". I would like to redeem the DLC that I purchased for the Xbox 360 to my PC version. Specifically the "Shadow Broker", "Overlord", and "Kasumi - Stolen Memory" as these are not included in the Cerberus Network package that comes with the game upon purchase. Please contact me ASAP with the necessary steps in order to redeem my already purchased content for my PC version.

I just did it today. First teir of support told me there was nothing they could do. Dont' curse or swear or be mean. Just say you'd like to speak to senior support. Senior support guy was nice, I explained how I own Mass effect 1 and 2 for PC and xbox, and that I own all the DLC for ME2 on xbox and would like to play it on PC. I explained that it seems unfair that I would be forced to purchase the DLC twice, if I bought a chair for my living room, I can move that chair into the bedroom without paying a second time.

He went away for like 10 minutes, told me to refresh my browser and all the DLC was there for pc now.

Superb experience, just get past the first teir of support. They are trained to just get rid of you

with me, I was transferred directly to the superior support group, and I was told no. Still, they activated my ME2, crysis, and crysis warhead copies on origin, so if steam dies (lol) I'll have those.

Ok, EA has borked things a bit, BUT you get to the help site, then in the upper right is a log in button AGAIN you have to log in. Once you log in there is a button just to the right of the main block of stuff that says talk to a game advisor. Then you get to a page that asks which game and you go from there.......silly in the extreme to do it this way.

Way too much work to get help, which is probably the idea, since help costs are sky high.

Went onto EA support and got most of it handed to me with no worries. though they aparantly dont have access to the code generator for "Genesis" and "alternate costumes 2" but I'm not too worried.
Ill have to contact them again in a couple of days to get "Arrival" as the code gen wasnt working for them. wouldnt redeem so i couldnt get that yet.

but lke i said. went right onto EA's support page went right in and after a brief explanation all was right in the world.

mind you I started the chat around 4:20 GMT so that might have got me points if theylocalise there customers.

even got the collectors stuff as compensation.

on a side note I had it for 360 first and got all the DLC on 360. I also seemed to get more 'approval' from my advisor when I mentioned that i had it on 360, steam and origin(freebee for getting 2 bioware games)

Well after some persistence on live chat I was able to get codes for Katsumi, Overlord, and Shadow Broker. They gave me a game code for the Arrival which was a game code not a Bioware DLC code and said I should get an email with that it in it. We'll see if that actually happens.
