Unfortunately after all day and with 4 different people, EA cannot get a code right for the Arrival DLC. I am just going to buy that one. I guess 3 out of 4 DLC ain't bad....

I can't get them to transfer the DLC's to my PC version. Grrr... why are they doing this for some but not others?

Thanks for this thread, I'll check if EA support can do this for me as well, since I've got all the DLC on Xbox too. :P I'll reference to this thread as well, hopefully it still works.

Most of you are transferring from Xbox to PC, I'm considering going the other way because I would like to play ME1+2+3 in 52 inch HD glory. Has anyone had problems with DLC from PC to Xbox? I'm asking before I make the dive, because having to pay for DLC again would be a dealbreaker for me.

It depends on which tech rep you get. It technically isn't supposed to happen but some reps will do it anyway.

The JUST did it for me. I don't own Arrival yet, but he did for KAsumi and Shadow Broker.

So can this work with the PS3 version as well? I know I only payed for Arrival as the other 3 were on disc. Could I get all 4 DLC on to the PC version or will I have to pay for the other 3?

This is a big factor for me to Purchase the PC version.

Didn't work for me. The chat support person I got refused to help at all. The phone support person I got was very willing to help, but didn't even seem to grasp the difference between DLC and the full game; by the end of it his supervisor had to tell him he still couldn't help. What a pain.

Wait a few days and try the chat support again, as I said it depends on who you get, they aren't supposed to do it, but many will.

Hey guys.. Just wanted to let you know I managed to get Shadow Broker and Overlord. But not Kasumi and Arrival. Here was my dialogue with them:

You are now ready to chat with Rohit.

you: HI there rohit

Rohit: Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Rohit how may I help you?

you: Have you gotten a chance to read my previous case?
you: It is in reference to it

Rohit: hello
Rohit: no i havent

you: I was guaranteed by a customer rep that my DLC for Mass Effect 2.. from xbox would transfer to PC

you: Well following the advice of the customer representative, I have now purchased a copy of Mass Effect 2- Deluxe Edition (PC)

Rohit: please provide me your case id

you: XXXXXX

Rohit: i will surely help you in retrieving your dlc

you: I have logged into bioware as previously ask

Rohit: please provide me your email id, first name and last name

you: XXXXXXXXX
you: XXXXXXXXX

Rohit: thank you

you: http://imgur.com/a/EkVZQ (I blacked out the version for the forum.. the one I sent to them had my usernames etc.)
you: I have taken screen shots of my bioware page
you: if you needed a reference
you: After installation, a few of the DLC have been added (Top 5..Sentry Interface..Recon hood.etc) But the others have not.. Arrival..Shadow Broker..etc.

Rohit: if you wish i can add Collector's armor and rifle for the PC and 360 to your account

you: thank you but how does this pertain to my question?
you:What about Arrival,Shadow Broker,Equalizer Pack, Aegis Pack, Overlord Pack, Kasumi - Stolen Memories, Alternate Apperance Pack 1?

Rohit: i apologize for the wrong information provided by the previous advisor....
Rohit: i apologize.. but what all can be added is Collector's armor and rifle for the PC and 360

you: ...
you: So basically your advisor scammed me into buying another version of Mass Effect 2
you: Not to mention that if you look at the screen shot it says specifically that the content purchased works both for PC and xbox platforms

Rohit: i sincerely apologize for that..
Rohit: please allow me some time ,... to see what all can be done

you: Alright thank you.
you: You can check my xbox account, I have purchased everything legally.
you: I only bought this version of Mass Effect because the previous adviser stated that all DLC I purchased on xbox would be transferred to my PC edition.
you: I've spent over $50 buying DLC on the xbox. Why would I buy the same DLC twice?

Rohit: please allow some time
Rohit: i apologize... we have different dlc for xbox and pc

you: What do you mean different?
you: It is the same..

Rohit: only we have one or two dlc that is applicable for both
Rohit: which i have mentioned you
Rohit: not all dlc is same

you: did you look at my screenshot?

Rohit: i apologize...
Rohit: we have all dlc same
Rohit: but it cannot be transfered
Rohit: the dlcs are platform specific... you would be able to play on the same platform on which you have purchased

you: Can I talk to someone else. This is going no where.
you: This is clearly fraud and false advertising

Rohit: i apologize... for whatever information you were provided by the previous advisor

you: why would you state that the content unlocks for both PC and Xbox 360 Platforms.. Which I then had verified with the previous advisor, who assured me that I would be able to get my DLC if I purchase a Mass Effect 2 for the PC.
you: Let me talk to a senior advisor

Rohit: the dlc indeed is same for both.. but they are platform specific.. you would not be able to play on another platform

you: You are repeating yourself. Again look at the screenshot
you: It clearly states that the content is unlocked for both xbox and pc
you: Are you telling me that EA and Bioware lied?
you: Let me talk to your senior supervisor

Rohit: i apologize if i meant that..
Rohit: please allow me some time while i escalate this issue to senior supervisor

you: Thank you.
you: Can I get an ETA on how long this will take?

Rohit: i apologize you for the delay in response... we assure you a quick reply
Rohit: thank you for your patience
Rohit: i discussed this matter with the supervisor.. and his opinion is same as mine

you: This is unacceptable. Let me talk to him.

Rohit: okay.. please wait while i escalate this issue

you: If anything this has even made me more frustrated.
you: You clearly did not go talk to your supervisor at all
you: You just made me sit here for 20 minutes
you: and pretended like you did..
you: 'okay.. please wait while i escalate this issue'?????
you: what have you been doing!

Please wait while we set up your chat session with Siddharth.

You are now ready to chat with Siddharth.

you: That was extremely unprofessional

Siddharth: Hi, my name is Siddharth and i'm the floor supervisor.

you: Hi Siddharth.
you: Have you been briefed about my problem?

Siddharth: Yes, I have been told about the problem that you are facing, but as informed by the advisor, we cannot transfer DLC's from one platform to another.
you: So what you are saying is that Bioware is blatantly false advertising on their website. Not to mentioned that previously your other adviser lied to me, to get me to purchase another copy of Mass Effect 2 under the false pretense that I was able to transfer ALL my DLC from Xbox 360 to PC.

you: I really don't care about the other DLC, it is just the main ones I purchased on my Xbox Kasumi, Overlord, Shadow Broker, Arrival.

Siddharth: I am looking into this. See if we can add it from our end. Please allow me couple of more minutes.
Siddharth: Thank you for your patience.
Siddharth: I can only add Shadow Broker and Overlord Pack from our end.
Siddharth: Should I add those?

you: Yes please, but why 2 and not the rest?

Siddharth: We don't have other DLCs to add.

you: Can you explain?

Siddharth: We don't have other DLCs to add into your account from our end. If you wish I can add those 2 DLCs by making exception.

you: Fine.

Siddharth: Should I add?

you: Yes, thank you.

Siddharth: I've added both the DLCs to your account. You please check on Bioware website.

you: I see them.

Siddharth: Great !
Siddharth: Thank you for contacting EA. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

you: No, Thanks.

Siddharth: If you need help with anything else, please feel free to contact us anytime!

This conversation took about 2 hours. If you notice I make reference to a previous adviser. This was my second time getting chat help. The first time I asked very briefly as to whether or not I can transfer xbox ME2 DLC to PC if I bought the PC version. She said Yes. I then followed to clarify.. saying: 'So what you are telling me is that if I buy the Mass Effect 2 - Deluxe Edition (PC) I will be able to transfer ALL my DLC from Xbox 360 to PC' She then said Yes again. I said thanks and that was that.

Hope this helps I was happy to just get something.. I still in the end paid for kasumi and arrival. I dont doubt that If i continued pestering them they might have given me all 4. But I didnt want to risk not getting anything at all. At least they gave me the most expensive one for free.. GL

so after a few different chats with EA tech support I was able to get Cerberus, Shadow Broker, Overlord, and Kasumi transferred over to my PC copy of ME2 since I own them on 360. For whatever reason they weren't able to transfer over Arrival but they did give me a 15% off coupon so that is cool I guess. Thanks thread :)

Email 'em back, mate. The bottom lines is you've got an email from them saying that they'll do something and they haven't done it. I think you've just got to chase them until they follow through on it.

Hello ------,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts again.

Having
reviewed your email I understand that you did not received Mass Effect
2 DLC. Please note that DLC purchased from Xbox 360 works on Xbox 360
only. I have checked your account and the are active for Xbox 360.
Please contact Steam for further assistance.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please reply to this email or visit our extensive knowledge base online at http://help.ea.com.

Hello again friends, I return from my endeavor with success! I officially take back all the bad things I have ever said about EA customer support. Albeit, it took a bit of time and patience, but please too all those who are in this situation, do not give up hope. I have successfully managed to get the three main DLC's for the PC free of charge: Kasumi, Overlord, and Shadow Broker.<br />
<br />
Here is exactly what happened between me and the customer support forum:<br />
<br />
-I went to this website http://support.ea.com/, and opened a new question, using ME2 as the game, PC as the platform, and Account/Registration and Product Registration as the topics. The subject I labeled "No Expansion"<br />
<br />
- I gave the following statement as my initial question:<br />
<br />
To whom it may concern,<br />
<br />
Recently I have purchased Mass Effect 2 for the PC via steam during one of their promotional holiday offers. However, I also own this game for the Xbox 360 and have purchased the DLC for that version. The BioWare website clearly states that this DLC that I have purchased is interchangeable between the Xbox 360 and the PC version by saying the content purchased works for both "PC and Xbox 360". I would like to redeem the DLC that I purchased for the Xbox 360 to my PC version. Specifically the "Shadow Broker", "Overlord", and "Kasumi - Stolen Memory" as these are not included in the Cerberus Network package that comes with the game upon purchase. Please contact me ASAP with the necessary steps in order to redeem my already purchased content for my PC version<br />
<br />
- This is where it got a bit complicated. After sending this the Representative I spoke with was under the impression that I was having trouble accessing the account from my Xbox account. This is what has been holding me up for the longest time. I corrected him after two exchanges by firmly restating what I have already said but in a much clearer matter so that there was no confusion as to what I wanted<br />
<br />
- After restating what the real problem was, he informed me that it required further investigation and needed more time. I was patient at this point and he added I should provide all the necessary information that could help speed up the process. In short, I added that I can provide ready proof of purchase of both versions of the game as well as the DLC shortly after, and I restated where the claim is specifically on the BioWare website that the content purchased provides both and unlock for PC and Xbox. Below is the exact letter I provided him after his "need more time to investigate" letter was sent to me:<br />
<br />
Dear Andrew,<br />
<br />
Thank you very much for looking more into this matter, it is greatly appreciated as this is one of my favorite games.<br />
<br />
I can provide any number of specific information upon request. However I will not post it readily here until I know for certain that it is required. This is for purely security reasons on my part and I have no problem submitting the necessary information to you and your company.<br />
<br />
If you access my xbox live account, you can clearly see that I have owned Mass Effect 2 since its launch in February 2010 and have played it numerously since then. My account should also prove that I have legally purchased the DLC "Lair of the Shadow Broker", "Kasumi - Stolen Memory", and "Overlord" via the Xbox Live marketplace. I can also provide the proof of purchase of Mass Effect 2 PC version. This documentation should provide all the necessary proof that you need to confirm I have legally purchased both versions of the game and the Downloadable Content in question.<br />
<br />
I also have readily available the Cerberus Network Activation codes for both the Xbox version and PC version of the game should you require them. Please note however that both codes have been activated and both versions of the game are registered to a BioWare Social Network Profile online. The Xbox version was registered and activated back in February 2010 and the PC Version was registered earlier today. I registered the PC version earlier today upon your instruction from this help topic as I was led to believe the issue was resolved. This should prove no issue in this matter.<br />
<br />
If you also go to my BioWare Social Network profile (Argonaut1314) you can also see the registered DLC in my name already. It is also on this website that you can find the information regarding DLC policy. The website clearly states that upon the purchase of any DLC for this game, a promotional code is given for both the PC and Xbox versions of the game. However I do not have this code nor do I have the DLC in question. This is my current issue and why I have contacted you recently. I would suggest simply giving me a promotional code to access said DLC would be the most efficient route as I have readily available proof of purchase but how the matter is resolved is in your and the company hands, not mine.<br />
<br />
Should you require any of the information that I have in my possession, please contact me ASAP and I will upload the necessary specifics.<br />
<br />
- The following is the result of my last suggestion:<br />
<br />
Hello Gamer,<br />
<br />
Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.<br />
<br />
I do apologize for the issues you have been experiencing with Mass Effect 2. As a gamer myself, I can understand how frustrating not being able to play your game can be. I have been assigned to your issue, and would be happy to assist you in this matter. I have gone ahead and made the necessary changes to your account. You will now see you have this content for your PC version as well. <br />
<br />
Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts game in the future, please visit our web site and review our extensive Self Help Knowledge base (http://support.ea.com). <br />
Best Regards,<br />
Brandan<br />
<br />
I am now currently downloading the DLC! :D<br />
<br />
In short, tell them the issue, point out the policy stated here, and tell them you have all available proof of purchase to emphasize you have legally bought everything (at least I'm assuming all of you have legally bought everything, your loss if you didnt). Be patient friends, and you will succeed. I hope this helps everyone here.

Where exactly do you find this information?:
The BioWare website clearly states that this DLC that I have purchased
is interchangeable between the Xbox 360 and the PC version by saying the
content purchased works for both "PC and Xbox 360".

There is no such thing as a "Bioware Rep" for such matters. EA is the publisher, and EA Help is the entirety of support. Use the Chatline.
