PS: what do you mean with "remapping"?
remapping (also, rebinding) keys is when you change (the function of) a key on your keyboard to do something different (different than what it used to do). In NWN2 you can change, say, the "Zoom out" key to do "Inspection" if you find that handier, which I sure do. (Then I remapped "Zoom out" to the "Zoom in" key, since I never use the latter.)
The keys involved, in above example, are Tab, End, and Home. Go to GameOptions->KeyMapping (the last tab), and there are the defaults divided into five categories. "Inspection" is in the Misc. section, etc.
If you fool around long enough you can really screw things up! So. Before trying any of this make a back-up of your MyDocs->NWN2->
nwn2player.ini file (that's where keybindings are kept). Double-click on an entry, then it asks you to press a new key for the function you've chosen (listed according to CameraMode, btw).
Remember that if you assign a new key that was previously doing something else, the previous key-assignment goes *Poof* - so ya kinda got to 'map' things out the way you want before messing around
@I_Raps : Don't we have to talk to Bevil before West Harbor is destroyed, to get him to come to the Keep?
oh,
nwn2Wikia turned up this :
"Bevil Starling - serves as a sergeant. Joins in Act III if the PC talks to him in Act II before West Harbor is destroyed. Note that there are several bugs in his conversation file that may make it impossible to recruit him for the Keep while speaking to him at West Harbour after becoming the Keep's Captain. Strangely enough, he still spawns at the Keep later on and can be recruited there."
@Vaalyah : lots of info re. recruits & the Keep at the link there
